Q:

Breaking news on the VULCAN……..

Ok sports fans, I mean bullpup fans lol.

Ok so a while back I posted about trying to write Evgeny about getting a shorty Vulcan made.

He wrote me back, as always. But I found out news on some thing else in the works.

Here is what Evgeny wrote me back:

Hi
Thanks for the kind words.
I’ll think about your proposal.
At the moment, I am preparing to manufacture
“VULCAN Tactic” (carbine) and also” VULCAN
auto”.
Best regards,Evgeny.

Then I wrote back asking if was a VULCAN auto bullpup ????
is this a bullpup, or carbine???
thx.

Will have too wait & see.

Going too be kool, thats for sure, Evgeny worked on the Colibri project, & has lots of info on how to build one.

Very weird indeed. Mine is faultless. Has anyone asked Evgeny about this? What’s his theory ??
A new reg does settle in but a shifting power is weird behaviour.

quote Sir Ville:

Weird … It´s either the Importer fuxing up them or the fact they don´t like the atmosphere over there. Which one sounds more likely ?

” Can you please tune up my Vulc so it´s perfect for my needs when i get it ” , ” I´d want mine to have that 5 fpe extra power from the get-go”. Blaah. blaah. There´s something Fishy (read ; Herring Oil) in here … 😯

Hi Again,

I have the Vulcan, .22. shooting JSB Exact Jumbo 15.9gn. Out of the box the rifle was shooting 286 m/s….. Now after 500 (one tin) it has dropped to 276, although it pops in a 280 from time to time.

Is it normal for the reg to drop like that when settling in??

Cheers

Stuart

Ville Here’s one acting up from UK-Spain so it’s not all from the US. I know for a fact nothing was done to mine before I got it. I’m still getting a 100 FPS drop every once in awhile.

So far I know of 3 people having trouble with their .22 Vulcan. All are velocity related. And yes Ville all are in the US.

I don’t want to appear to be a downer but before going to produce another gun I would first find out what the heck is wrong with the 22 cal Vulcan erratic velocity. Companies need to have new things in the burner to keep alive but quality first. This has to be number one. I will say my Vulcan is doing great so far

I agree. But the only ones with Vulcan problems seem to be The Yanks. Why ?
Anyway – it´s , of course , better to perfect the product you came out with before going for the next “big” thing. And the next. And then the next …
Kalibrgun did that very mistake and it did no good for their reputation.
Evgeny ,on the other hand , is a great guy and i think he´s THE Man regarding BP´s nowadays. If anyone can do it it´s him. The Chinese made Huben ? No thanks. FX SA ?? Hell, no! Colibri ? You wish. Ed ? The broken bridge has changed the game for that Bozo… That leaves us one actor on the quality SA market and that´s Evgeny.

You r right Soze,

really @ any time, things could dry up with bullpups coming out of Russia & the Ukraine.
I hope to God, they don’t, they r still fighting over the Ukraine. And the west & Russia well…..

If that would ever happen the bullpups we got from their would jump up in price. 😯

The thing is with Evgney, as busy has he is, he will write people back.
If people write, him & talk bullpups too him, the guy will hear u out.

I say we should write him, tell him these things that, people see that could have improvements on.

You know how that all works, you were in the firearms work.

Looking at the world of bullpups. The pcp bullpup, is the only bullpup with no recoil.
Other than a 22lr bullpup. The springer bullpup has recoil, but moving up into big bore pcp bullpups, have some recoil, but not like the pb bullpups.

Like most guys here, we all came from powder burners.
I’ve shot lots of bullpups, with high recoil like the pre ban Steyr AUG, AR, AK, bullpups.

The Steyr AUG, has a funny hollow sound to it, when fired.

So yea, having a quite bullpup with no recoil, is really nice.
And all with no class 3 stamp, to get a quite bullpup.
Pretty dam kool! 😯

Peter from TGAG told me the other day that Kalibrgun was not dropping the Colibi by choice. The problem was or is that the gun is made in Russia and they are having some real problems getting things out of Russia into the Czech Republic. According to Peter Kalibrgun was more or less forced to drop the Colibri.

What Evgney needs to figure out is how the hell Taipan made a gun so quiet. The Colibri is quiet and also without a ping, if he could redesign the hammer on the vulcan to mimic the Taipan then the Vulcan would be the best bullpup hands down.

They also made a shorty Colibri, I remember seeing the pix of it. It was about 24 inches. Less than three made it here. Peter over @ tgag
has a working example of 1. I need to bug him & get a pic of it, he’ll never sell it, he’s taking it to the grave with him.

Ok found the pix of the Colibri shorty. Click the pic to make it bigger.

Elmer, don’t let it hold you back if you had 1 you would really like it. Maybe you”ll get the
cosmetic improvements, that you r after with the Vulcan auto.

Like the Ed guns, there was only 1 size & improvements came. Like you said there was R1, R2, R3 Ed guns.

Also look at the other big players making bullpups.
They all ended up, with different sizes, with their bullpups.
The Edgun, Cricket, & Taipan, all have a long, standard, & short bullpup.

Evgeny has done a great job on the Vulcan I think, the gun was out only a year out in the E.U.
before we got it here in the west.

I think in time Evgeny, will build a shorty Vulcan, if it ends up, as a shorty auto bullpup even better. 😯

The Colibri was first made short, but they went 4 a longer model.

Good info Bird, I never tryed that, but the fire house by me would not do a fill.
Glad they made the shoebox, they work great & easy to run also.

If anyone has a tank that needs to be filled to 4500 or 5000 PSI , check with your local or nearest Fire Extinguisher Service company .
Most have the ability to charge tanks up to 5000 PSI .

FROM : THE BIRDMAN

Make a 24″ forward cocking side lever semi-auto bullpup and you will gain market share. Being 24″ it can have a normal stock with a forearm. Something the Colibri lacked. The Vulcan as-is seems like a good option being fairly short at 26″ but what’s holding me back are the lines on the action. If it was designed without those lines/grooves, I think it would be a bit better looking. I also think there’s too many exposed screws on the sides that takes away from the cleanliness. I’d really like to see the Vulcan2 if it came to market. The same with the Edguns. The R3, R2, R1 were all cosmetic improvements in my opinion.

Hoot u r right about having a air supply, I don’t want too use a pump 4 using my bullpups too. Shoebox works good 4 me. Since my fire house will not do fills 4 me.
And that takes the fun out of shooting.

Its the dawning of the golden age of the bullpup, here in the west.
As we know the best bullpups, come out of Russia.
I also want Colibri spin-off by Evgeny. The Colibri was the first forward cocking mass produced bullpup.

That the west saw, but the Russians, have enjoyed this idea before that even.

Here r some early examples of forward cocking, Sub 25 inch bullpups.
Click the pic too make it bigger.

This last one is a RARvl-12 with a stock that some 1 made.

eelect, I know what u r saying. But as a whole most of the 22. Vulcans sold don’t have this problem.

I’m all for a shorty Vulcan, I want one bad. I really like the idea of a smaller forward cocking Vulcan, like the size of the compact or shorty Mutant size.

If it ever got made, it would easy give 50 shots on a fill, the 22. Vulcans gets 90 shots now. The Cricket compact, gets like 40 shots, and so does the shorty Mutant.
But the Vulcan, as a bigger o.d air tube, so it can do the 50 shots still in shorty form.
But I”ll have to wait a long while 4 this bullpup.

But a new Vulcan auto, will be very kool, if it’s made right.

All I know things r looking up 4 bullpups here in the west. 😯
