bushing venting questions*EDIT* PICS ADDED
well i stripped the condor down tonight
polished the frame and barrel breech area
now i am going to vent the bushings a few questions
should i vent both?
and can the venting be done with out a drill press?
i dont have a drill press
i have a drill and a dremmel which i have high speed bits for dremmel
if i need a drill press i wont be venting the bushings

If u decide to drill the hole in the frame after the barrel is installed put some heavy grease on the bit and it will catch the shavings
he dont take his apart unless its broke lol

i actually thought of making slots in it with my dremmel wheel but i didnt wanna mess up and hit a spot where a grup scre goes but i suppose i could install the barrel and make the holes with a fine tip marker and make the slots there or ill just try it how it is now first
Just plan it out so the areas of grub screws remain the same OD as the bushing.
I see what your saying. That seems like it would be easier.
You could have also filed down 3 sides flat and that would serves as vents as well. I do that for the shrouds I make at times.

How hard or easy is it to get the bushing off the barrel?

You could try it how it is and drill them out more if you think it they need to be larger.

Well it sounds worth it so I will try it next time I disassemble my rifle or get another Talon.

I think as big as possible without sacrificing the integrity of the bushing…
Those look a wee bit tiny…
I have one bushing that came with a gun I traded for it looks like from just measuring with a metal scale to be 1/8 inch holes and the one I have is very close together but I would think it really would not matter mine are spaced 3/16 of an inch apart putting them very close, I would say if you wanted to go in between the ones you allready have drilled you would be in great shape that would be up to you I am not sure who made the one I have but most I have seen have been like the one I have, I have seem post on drilling the frame from what Yellow Nija claims it helps quite a bit might have to take my barrel out and do my Talon SS sometime soon allready have a vented bushing in front.

frame is already drilled
i took the dremmel and drilled it then i took one of my tools for porting and polishing engine heads and polished the tube again where i drilled
its sqweaky clean now and ready to rock as soon as my care package per Rowdy arrives tomorrow
i got the CF tank today and need to get it filled and my joe brancato stuff should be here by the weekend
oh and im waitin on a shroud n Butthook stock thingy 😉
