bushing venting questions*EDIT* PICS ADDED
well i stripped the condor down tonight
polished the frame and barrel breech area
now i am going to vent the bushings a few questions
should i vent both?
and can the venting be done with out a drill press?
i dont have a drill press
i have a drill and a dremmel which i have high speed bits for dremmel
if i need a drill press i wont be venting the bushings

If you vent both of them you will probably get some lead blow back at you. It could be done without a drill press but it would be difficult. Maybe you could make some kind of jig to hold the bushing and keep the drill aligned?
Only vent the front one – then drill a small hole in the frame just infront of the rear bushing (underneath so the hand guard will cover the hole). I’ve had a vented front bushing for ages but just drilled my frame today and it makes a HUGE difference than vente bushings and no frame hole.
I’ve vented the old style delrin bushings with a hand drill while it was still attached to the barrel and it worked fine. Aluminum is tougher but at least they come off barrel easily. Make sure to punch whre you want the holes, drill a small pilot hole and have the bushing secured well in a vice because when you drill the larger hole if it grabs it’s going to hurt/damage something.

on my other condor the frame was vented and it was silent
i dont know if both bushings were vented in that one but i will do the front one and vent the frame also
and as for a jig
how would drilling a hole into a block of wood the size of the bushing work? and then bolting the wood down to the table top?
i think that will do the job
