Hi all, we have well all the information of the size of O’rings for different model of Edgun.
It would be possible for somebody to make one or several plans with names and size and locations of the various references of joints.
From these lists as reference point.

• Ф 25 х 3 – 4 pcs (front and rear plugs, regulator)
• Ф 2,57 х 1,78 – 1 pcs (front plug filling valve)
• Ф 5 х 1,5 – 3 pcs (front of the regulator shaft) – 1, inside the regulator – 1, bottom of the bolt assembly -1)
• Ф 8 х 1.5 – 1 pcs (rear of the regulator shaft)
• Ф 7 х 1.5 – 1 pcs (rear of the barrel seal), .177 uses Ф5х1,5)
• Ф 12 х 2,5 – 1pcs (permanent compensator seal)
• Ф 3 х 1; 2.5 х 1,02 – 2 pcs (pellet probe for .22 or .177)
• Ф 5 х 1,5 – 2 pcs for the filling probe

R3M o-rings list:
• Ф 2,57 х 1,78 – 1 pcs (front plug filling valve)
• Ф 5.1 х 1.6/6 x 1.6 – 1 pcs (pellet probe for .22/.25)
• Ф 5 х 1.5 – 5 pcs (front of the regulator shaft – 1, inside the regulator – 1, seal between the tank and bolt assembly on .22 only -1, filling probe – 2)
• Ф 8 х 1.5 – 1 pcs (rear of the regulator shaft)
• Ф 19 х 2 – 1 pcs (permanent compensator seal)
• Ф 25 х 3 – 4 pcs (front and rear plugs, regulator)
• Ф 22 х 1.5 – 4 pcs (2 multishot clips)
• Ф 5 х 2.5 – 1 pcs (pressure gage)

The burna 70 is fine for just about everything. If want to use something stronger for the probe orings, try the burna 90, the viton 75(not much stronger) or the urethane 70 or 90. However, I have heard that some guns don’t like the 90 dur uratane. They are cheap enough, just get a few of each in each type you can so your not left without if one type doesn’t work.

Hello Hemn, thanks for the kind words!

I don’t have any O ring kits left and I don’t plan on offering another group buy. The last group buy got way out of hand and I needed to count, sort, bag and ship 7,800 O rings.
Each kit contained 380 O rings.
A little info on the terms 70-90 Duro and Buna N. Duro is a hardness rating, 90 is harder than 70. Buna N is the standard composition of a basic O ring. If the O ring isn’t listed as something else, it is almost certainly Buna N and should be around 70 Duro hardness.
I started the buys because the early R2.5 Matadors would wear out the bolt probe O rings very quickly. I finally found a source for harder 90 Duro Buna N, O rings and the harder O rings last a whole lot longer.
I think that Ed has started using harder O rings on the bolt probe as nobody seems to have a problem with the current R3s leaking at the cocking handle probe.
Here is the complete list for all of the Matadors, R2.5, R3 and R3M in .177, .22 and .25 cal. The first number is mm ID and the second number is mm thickness/cross section.

2.5 x 1.75 Buna 70 front barrel plug fill O ring seal
2.5 x 1.02 Buna 90 .177 cocking handle probe O rings
3 x 1 Buna 90 .22 cal cocking handle probe O rings
4 x 1 Buna 90 .25 cal cocking handle probe O rings
5 x 1.5 Buna 70 regulator shaft, fill probe
8 x 1.5 Buna 70 regulator shaft
25 x 3 Buna 70 regulator/air valve housing, front air tube plug
20 x 1 Buna 90 baffle
7 x 1.5 Buna 70 breech end of barrel R2.5s
12 x 2.5 Buna 70 barrel seal inside rear moderator tube

The kits were overkill but; I would recommend that you buy a few sets of the 90 Duro Buna N, O rings for the cocking handle probe and a couple of the 90 Duro Buna N, O rings for the baffle. The baffle O rings can easily get wore/torn if you remove the front baffle tube very often. 90 Duro ones will last a lot longer there.

You will probably have to order the 90 Duro O rings, I would be very surprised if you can find them locally.

Stay with 70 Duro Buna N for the rest of the O rings. You might want to pick up a couple each of the 2 regulator shaft O rings and a few of the regulator/air valve housing O rings also. I wore the regulator shaft O rings out after 15,000-17,000 shots. The cocking bolt probe, fill probe, regulator shaft and, if you remove the reg, the reg/air valve housing, O rings are the only O rings that are subjected to wear, the rest should last indefinitely.

You might want to buy a few 5 x 1.5 O rings for the fill probe also although, the original O rings that came on my R2.5s fill probe are still going strong after almost 5 years. I still use the original probe to fill all of my Matadors.

You also need to order at least one extra air valve rod. NOW! You will eventually break one and you will be very happy that you have an extra when you need it!

The O ring list that I posted here is the correct one.
Hi Tedd,
Thanks for the info!
I´ve got just one silly question left:
The o-ring: 5 x 1.5 Buna 70 regulator shaft, fill probe
Am I correct in assuming that the regulator setting screw is the same size?

( The photo which I puts it is just an example to give ideas)

Thank you for your Help.

MIKA

Hi Old Goat,

I owe you one set of Orings. It just came in. I will send them in a few days. Did you thought I forgot about you?

John.

The burna 70 is fine for just about everything. If want to use something stronger for the probe orings, try the burna 90, the viton 75(not much stronger) or the urethane 70 or 90. R3M o-rings list:
• Ф 2,57 х 1,78 – 1 pcs (front plug filling valve)
• Ф 5.1 х 1.6/6 x 1.6 – 1 pcs (pellet probe for .22/.25)
• Ф 5 х 1.5 – 5 pcs (front of the regulator shaft – 1, inside the regulator – 1, seal between the tank and bolt assembly on .22 only -1, filling probe – 2)
• Ф 8 х 1.5 – 1 pcs (rear of the regulator shaft)
• Ф 19 х 2 – 1 pcs (permanent compensator seal)
• Ф 25 х 3 – 4 pcs (front and rear plugs, regulator)
• Ф 22 х 1.5 – 4 pcs (2 multishot clips)
• Ф 5 х 2.5 – 1 pcs (pressure gage)

Dears;

Dose anybody can tell us, which type of o-rings they are made from? i mean they are from Buna or Viton, and which Duro 90 or 75 or 70….?? !!
Could you please be more clear?

I cannot find above mentioned sizes in this site;

your help would highly appreciated.

Forgive my ignorance but when looking at this list, 25×3 – 25mm is the inside diameter and 3mm is the cross section?
Thanks

Correct!
