Q:

Condor .22 cal w/12" barrel accuracy

Gentlemen,
Compare to 24″ barrel, how’s the accuracy with a 12″ barrel @ 50 yard using EunJin 28 grain? Or should I just stick with the 24″ barrel. Thanks.

Dipy, Here Are Some Pics. If you PM Me you address next time I cut some aluminum I will cut exactly what you need with the fender washers and bushings. What would be the best way to send them to India?

HI! njnoodles – WOW! your pics and explanation are great 😉 Thanks for the effort , I appriciate it. This is a easy long lasting method of doing it and maybe one can perforate the center tube and wrap some scothbrite around it 😉 . Whats the diameter on the alu pipe ? Thanks for your offer to cut and send the pcs to me here in India – however this one is very simple and easy to do so I can manage and wont trouble you over this. However I may ask you to help out in some other part which may be easier to get from you end . BTW the dealer I buy through will order the barrel today and it takes 8 days to reach him and then it’ll be shipped to me so should have it by end of the month along with my second condor on which I plan to uses this. Once again thanks for your help and offer.

You can buy the end cap from online retailers as well, not just From Airforce.

Yes! saw the endcap for sale with pyramid air. Will just order it along with the barrel – thanks

With some 1 inch aluminum pipe, some o rings, and some washers, all internally placed within the frame, your condor converted to a 12 incher will be extremely quiet, you will need a talon end cap. I have experimented with internal baffles for a long time before i perfected it. I can post pics if you would like.

HI! Well if you are willing to post the pics and share your experience and knowledge of this “special project” I shall really appriciate it. Please do the needful and also let me know if anything else is needed as I will have to order the parts ( Talon end cap )from the US -conversley as Rachel Gonzalvez at AF is acting up a bit (- mebbe PMS ;)) claiming they have no spares I can machine it out of some aluminium stock. Pl. post a pic of the end cap as well.
thanks

I Convereted my 24″ Condor 22 into a 12″ Condor SS. Still has the original Top Hat Setting, and the original Condor Tank. Accuracy was the same at that distance with both barrels. Dialed down to a muzzle velocity to 960 fps. I also had another Condor 24″ Condor 22, which I am currently experimenting with. Everything original on it, however, I converted it to a 177 Cal 12″. I will be posting number on the 177 12″ Condor Soon. I don’t recal seeing a 177 Condor before.

HI! I was thinking on similar lines 😉 I have a condor in .177 and have ordered a barrel in .22 for it. However This is too loud for city use ( I am from Chandigarh , India) and I will keep it maybe exclusivley for use at my farm. I am getting a 12″ .177 pulled barrel here and was thinking of buying and putting it in the condor for city use and backyard plinking. What is the noise reduction of the “condor SS” have you experimented with baffles? Please let me know you experience especially regards sound
thanks

Does converting the 24″ condor to a 12″ barrel produce the same sound db’s as the Talon SS?

It will be a little louder due to the larger valve and more air flow from the Condor vs the Talons. It can still be made to produce nothing but hammer noise with the addition of baffles.

Does converting the 24″ condor to a 12″ barrel produce the same sound db’s as the Talon SS?

Targets are looking good at 50 yds that is what I usaully shoot if they do good there moving the target in is tight groups for sure. Good to see the different pellet line up.

Randy what yardage were you shooting on the top Orange targets Thanks Eddie

Pretty sure it was 50 yards also my early shot wide groups were a result of pellets clipping the SS endcap once I addressed the clipping groups tightened up. 😀

Randy what yardage were you shooting on the top Orange targets Thanks Eddie

With all this good info, thats why I’m shootin an 18 in. tss

My test results using a 12″ barrel in my Condor. My scope was whacked had a M4 .223 shooting beside me. 🙁
