Condor .25 shot string And Jerry’s slugs
Starting pressure 2300 and ending pressure 1800, 42’s Sam Yang:
20 shots. I needed more air for about 5 shots to adjust bell curve.

Hay maw, the air could be coming out the wheel because of the back pressure in the shroud.
is that a full tony gun?
The slugs are awesome power, good write up 80 Grit and I whacked a couple quail today, got their breast in cold water, plus I think my breach maybe leaking cause I felt air coming out of the power wheel slit.
Thanks synopsys. I managed to pull one of the 7 rings out of my trap after it passed through a 2x 8.

“They do group well, if you were shooting at a yote/dog I don’t think you would have any problems going for the head.”
Pabs, I think the latest generation slugs will do even better than the ones you shot. Knife has posted some groups but has been silent lately… We know you’re there knife, what did you shoot? 😆 😆
Maw, with the energy you are shooting at…you don’t have to shoot for the head! I’ll bet a dollar that a heart shot at 80 yards either passes through or stops just under the skin on the far side.
BTW, for guns that get 100 plus FPE with the 6 rings, I would try the 7 or maybe even the 9 ring slugs. The 7 ring slugs at 71-72gr carry a fair amount more energy with not too much of a hit to trajectory. For 50 yard work, the 9 rings carry a lot more energy and the strong guns can shoot them very accurately.
Thanks jerry and pab 🙂
😯 Wow… That is going to disintegrate whatever it hits…
Time to save those beauties for hunting!
2 dimes stacked is about 0.100″…
Here is a preliminary look at some of the energy I achieved with jerry’s 7 ring 70.6 gr surefire slugs. I broke 100 fpe on the 2nd & 3rd shot of the string and kept it up near 100 for shots1 through 8. (Thanks TONY!) Start pressure was 2700, I forgot to note end pressure 😳

I fired them at 50 yards (with a 2800 psi start pressure) and the best group I had was was 1 3/16″ (see photo below) Ironically, out of the EJ’s, Kodiaks, and surefires, I didn’t expect that they would yield the best group
My top hat is the with of two dimes (please calculate for me, thanks) and Tony set the power wheel on 8.5/10
I am going to call tony tomorrow to advise as I had no luck with any fifty yard groups. EJ’s and kodiaks where all over the place. I don’t want to jack this thread so I will put my crony results on those pellets on a separate thread. Man jerry’s slugs are devastating. They ripped through my 2x 8 pressure treated wood at 30 yards with no problem. (The photo below is the 2×8 I used during crony time).

“I have tested 6 ring slugs out to 80 yards so far and they group just fine. About 1.75 ctc is the best I’ve managed so far…”

Oh, I believe it!! The current numbers are so cool I just though more would be, well, cooler! 😀
And if anyone can get some slowmo shots of the slugs exploding on contact that would be cool too… 😆 😆

That’s a ton of energy there maw and have you shot any test groups with it yet how is it grouping? if I get another AF rifle I am thinking about .25 with the extra juice you have just want to make sure it’s grouping nice and those strings looks pretty sporty 🙂
Jerry told me that his slugs retain energy better than most at distance, and I believe him. I see buying another crony in my future so I can test muzzle energy vs poi energy, thanks synopsys 😡
60 grains @ 870 fps… 😯
15 shots @ 500 psi… 😯 😯
I’d like to see some downrange chrony numbers say at 25 and 35 yards, it would be interesting to see what kind of velocity is retained… 😀
Rated shmated 😆
If they are good for 3000psi public use, damn sure it will be ok for 3200psi 😀
Hasn’t killed me yet…..
What psi does the burst disk go at on those dodgy airforce valves??

Serious , that was my 1st thought, I tried the tissue paper and nothin between breach and hammer. Oh, and I got the spring and hammer from Tagdagger
