Condor SS with NINJA PCP REG 2800psi output and 4500psi paintball tank

Looking for a little assistance here. I have been a Talon SS owner since about 2003, and the rifle is still going strong with probably 2500+ squirrel kills under its belt. I am extremely familiar with the Talon SS platform. I now want to step my game up for the coyotes who killed my pet as well as some of my neighbors’ animals. My plan is to buy a Condor SS and get it running on a standard 4500psi paintball tank achieving about 60 fpe and excellent accuracy using 28gr Eun Jins while getting gobs of shots per fill. I need some input about the feasibility of running a Condor SS on a 2800psi regulated output 4500psi paintball tank. (Please hold comments about hunting coyotes with an air rifle!!) :angrymob:
Ok so heres the plan (it’s rather simple):
1. Buy Airforce CO2 Adapter and swap out burst disk for plug or higher rated burst disk
2. Buy a Condor SS in .22
2. Talk to buddy at Ninja Paintball and get a 2800 psi output regulator and slap it on a 4500 psi paintball tank
3. Assemble regulator to tank, tank to CO2 adapter, then mount the whole deal to the gun
I would love to get some input on what challenges (if any) there will be with this setup. Is 2800psi output the best output? would something like 2600psi be better? Will the CO2 adapter use a Condor valve as it comes from the factory? My biggest concern is about the CO2 adapter valving – especially since I already impulsively ordered one! Any problems with this? I have heard the CO2 adapter uses a weaker spring and maybe some other parts? Please advise!
Anyway, I basically just want to run this idea by you guys to see if what you all think. Any thoughts, comments, or additional input on this setup would be greatly appreciated!

60 fpe is easy to achive. No experiance with a 4500 psi paint ball tank but with a talon tunes cf tank, stock valve, talon tunes quick change tophat, fill the tank to 3600 psi with a .045 washer under the top hat and med restrictor should put you in the ball park.
Condors put out a ton of power. 28 gr ej need to go about 925 and 32 gr only about 850 to produce what you want. I have found my condor get better efficiency with heavier pellets until i get to 45 gr slugs. Then over 45 it starts to go down.
And i have no prejiduce about smoking yotes with an air rifle, i have shot 5 with my condor. Got 1 pelt and skull. 60 fpe needs a very good shot. I run 90 and have had solid head shots get to the neighbors yard.
One froze as soon as it was hit. Then when i got down to it the dam thing was gone. 5 game cameras in a 1.5 acre area did not see it leave including one almost in the line of sight of the shot. They are tough!

onebaddj – Thanks for your reply. Awesome job on taking 5 yotes with your Condor. I hunt them quite frequently and come back with nothing at just about the same rate. They are some of the smartest possible animals to hunt, and speaking from experience I know it takes some skill and patience. Have shot several with the Talon only to see them run off. Still, gets the heart beatin’…
While I completely understand the virtues of even a stock Condor and it’s power level, what I am more concerned with is getting tons of regulated shots with a 4500-5k fill on a 45 ci bottle. I may even use a 68 ci if I can still get a good cheek weld with the larger bottle size. I used to play competitive paintball so I have many tanks to choose from. Getting a ton of shots per tank (importance level 70%) while also having serious power with heavy pellets (30%) are the goals.
That said, I am most interested in the technical feasibility of this setup and finding out if you guys see any potential issues with what I’ve laid out in my previous post so I can be prepared heading into this project. I have done a lot of reading on the forum in the past several months but haven’t seen any discussion on a similar setup with the CO2 adapter, Ninja PcP reg (preset high pressure output) and a 4500 tank.
