Condor Tank Dump need help
Hello I just purchased a condor from P.A. on initial fill valve was stuck I read post on this forum worked valve in and out to debur reconnected to pump tank would hold air but still dump every time within the first 4 shots
Contacted vender had them send another tank , The new tank took air fine but still dumps within first couple of shots , Valve seems to move in and out smoothly ,and pellets are seated so I dont want to hear that as a excuse for this gun . Im kinda sick of hand pumping this thing to have it dump all the air .I have tried all different air preasure from 300 down to 2200 pound fills with same results . Condor is 177 cal could that be a factor with this bird . Gun is flawless on co2 besides the adapter coming apart after first 20 oz bottle . Should I cut my losses and send it back or is there hope for a 177 cal Condor , I do not want a 22 ,I have all 177 cal airguns shoot paper only .

Have you tried shooting it with the bolt handle pointing straight up, not to either side? If 0.095 is too much, that is where it would show up, I’d think.
I can’t imagine pumping a tank from empty. That must really suck…

I believe he states the valve is set at the factory and should not be changed .
Well this is my second tank and it is set at point .095 sounds like there could be a QC Issue to me . what would the results be at that seeting be maybe tank dump . How would I know if they sent me the correct valve for 177 cal
They said air force might have put the 22 cal tank with the gun originaly.
The second thank that I recieved was to be 177 cal specific , valve looked the same as original tank , and had the same results , I tried to contact today by phone but must be closed I sent a email , and will call again tommorrow . Yea Im waiting on the bit about pellet not being properly seated , but after pumping it up a half a dozen times I assure you I would not even consider over looking that LOL.
I will give them the chance tommorrow to reconcile the problem
Thanks for the reply Voltar , I do not want to mess with the top hat at this time do to the 30 day return ploicy , 😛 I purchased the gun Dec 30th but havent got to shoot on Hp .I will measure though

BTW what did the ‘vendor’ say the trouble was?
did you get the schtick about crooked pellets, loose pellets, etc?

If the tank is not set up for .177 correctly then a tank dump is to be expected.
What is going on is the air flow from the tank valve is able to keep the valve open because your .177 barrel has too much back pressure.
You need to either choke the valve down by either a smaller stem or restrict the tophat to say 0.045″. OR you need to set up the valve return spring so the valve gets more closing force.

If you only plan to punch paper, ask them to send you a talon tank in place of the condor tank. Would that not work guys? Also you can adjust the top hat with out issue if your careful. I would take Walters advice and turn it down.
