Cricket 22 Polymag Jam Fix

Just figured out a free fix for the problem of jamming 22 cal Polymags in the Cricket mags.

This works GREAT for both Predator Polymags and the new Metalmags. You will need clear plastic that you get from just about everything that’s sold in this kind of clear wrapping. The most that I found are .012″ thick you will need to find one that’s a bit thinner about .009″ thick works for me. This device stops the pellets from moving forwards when cocked and prevents it from jamming. Make more then one, I already lost one in the field of green, colored the edge with a red Sharpie helps.

Coda, you may have to wait for a review from me. Frost bite on both hands working High Voltage towers as a young man, can’t take the cold on hands any more. Hell it even hurts to grab an ice cube for my drink!!

The original .22 Poly’s never shot too well in any of my guns compared to say the .25s that are outstanding in the Edgun so I am curious how these will do.

I got mine yesterday. Today and rest of week high of 10 degrees low of minus 14 degrees. Looks like it may be awhile before testing….. :sadn:

Here they are in my hummingbird mag. They fit better than the original one’s it still hang up from time to time.

Got mine today. Weather is going to be ruff this weekend so I probably won’t get to test them.

Just sent my order in to PA for some .22 shorts. Will be testing them once I get them…..

Looks like I’ll have to order some of them to test.

Pyramydair is now selling Predator Polymag “shorts” in .22, 8.7mm long.

I hear you. I´m reluctant to start messing around with my reg since it shoots so well with them 10.34 grainers as is. Mine is actually set at the same 107-108 B as yours. I quess i lied a bit in my earlier statement of 105 B. Mee sooo solly ! 😳

Thank you Sir,

I will keep all of that in mind and yes at this moment my compact is shooing well with JSB 10.34 g and I don’t feel like up tuning her….. .. . yet.
As the way my compact is tuned now, I’m thinking it would be interesting to use on the farm Rats.

PolyMag SHORTS are now available at Pyramdair in 177 and 22 cal so far.
I ordered some in the 22 cal and hopefully I don’t need to use my jam fix above.

Does anyone know the BC ?

I tried both 13.4 gr and 16.2 gr JSB’s in my Compact .177. They shoot well but to relky get the best out of them you need to tune your Compact to shoot them at 280 mps minimum. That means upping the reg pressure. I have my reg set at 105 B and that gives me a very steady 283 mps with 10.4 gr Heavies but it isn’t enough to get them heavier ones up to proper speed. For 16gr i quess a reg pressure at around 130 B would do it.

No but it would be nice if they did. So far the only pellet that shoots out of the BC is 18.1 JSBs the rest shoot all over the target.

GKU, I’ve been hearing about those shorts you were talking about and wondered when the hell are they ever coming out. Now we know. I’ll also be waiting for your review.

Zonk doses the original PolyMags fit into your FX Bobcat mags ?
I’m wondering if the Bobcat uses the same mags as my FX Revo which is to small to fit the original Poly.
