Q:

Cricket 22 Polymag Jam Fix

Just figured out a free fix for the problem of jamming 22 cal Polymags in the Cricket mags.

This works GREAT for both Predator Polymags and the new Metalmags. You will need clear plastic that you get from just about everything that’s sold in this kind of clear wrapping. The most that I found are .012″ thick you will need to find one that’s a bit thinner about .009″ thick works for me. This device stops the pellets from moving forwards when cocked and prevents it from jamming. Make more then one, I already lost one in the field of green, colored the edge with a red Sharpie helps.

I’m shooting them both out at about 935 fps out to 50 yards with about a 1″ kill zone. I’ve heard there are sweet spots at 825-890-900fp for the Polys and didn’t try them at those speeds yet. The Metalmags are better for thicker game with it’s intended greater penetration design, lesser the poly that sometime stops short of the heart.

The metal mags are good to 40 yards. Then they open up to 1″ groups and more

That is slick! How accurate are the Polymag pellets in a .22 cricket? JSB 18’s are so good it’s hard to imagine the Polymag’s being in the same league.

Thanks for sharing!
