Cricket Carbine-PIC HEAVY-1/9/14Updated groups

I entered a contest Steve was promoting from WWAG. I was 2nd out of 3 contestants…nice odds! Anyhow he gave the option of getting a gift cert for the retail value of the prize. In my case I had won a Webley Raider, I took the gift cert and put that towards a Cricket Carbine. Steve included some nice schwag as well…thanks!

So true Hemn…so true. I will strive for excellence! Can you pm me links to your posts showing your groups? I would very much like to see .13-.15 inch ctc groups from 65/50meters…that’s really impressive!

I bet he can’t even get under twice that, 6.6mm (0.26″) ctc at 65m (71yards)… 😉

Are your written dimensions outside edge to outside edge of pellet hole (22cal)? I bet things may tighter up with a little less power or the heavier JSB’s… 😉

Hi Brandon,n

Congrats! Both Crickets looked very nice. They compliment each other. Did I said they looked very classy. Shoot string Is very good. Looked like in the 940s. If you use 18.1 grain, it may slows down a bit, maybe pellet more stable. The piece in front of the muzzle, is it baffled? How the noise compare to the bull pup?

Your photos looked amazing. Are you a pro or semi pro photographer? It is nice to see someone takes the time to take beautiful pictures once in awhile.

I noticed that you sold your Edgun and got the Crickets. Do you still have that regulator for the R3? If you are in the Bay Area, I may be interested.

How did you pick that reticle over say the New Trajectory Reticule?

To be honest I didn’t put much thought into it. I was planning on buying a Vortex Crossfire, but Steve gave me a big discount including the rings and for that amount of magnification at the price he gave me was worth the chance, Steve even offered to take it back if I wasn’t completely satisfied. I’m glad I did, I like it better than my Hawke Eclipse, in fact I am planning on putting the Aeon on the bullpup and the Eclipse on the Carbine as the Aeon is much shorter than the Hawke.

Which one would you choose?

How did you pick that reticle over say the New Trajectory Reticule?

Since the action is the same supposedly for the carbine and the bullpup, I would assume there is no linkage for the trigger in the carbine? How is the trigger on the carbine?

No linkage. 1 stage but Ernest says there’s a mod to make it 2 stage(I think I remember him saying). I haven’t taken it out of the stock to adjust. As is pretty light pull and crisp. I’ll take some pics later and post.

there are not a good groups for 20 yards, i have less than these 65 mtr away, or 50 mtr, try for the best, Cricket is one of the good PCPs and i think you still need more practice just like me 😆 😆 , and i am sure you will have better groups with you crickets.
