Cricket De pinger with Pre filter L@@K

Testing new design. you can get the parts from Home depot—–>the hardest part was turning down the OD of the rubber tube to get a really tight seal–had to hammer it in, also the foam filter dampen the sound from the HP air rushing to feed the reg when shot is taken and it’s 4″ from the reg. work great and don’t hear the hammer and extended ping traveling through the air tube.

2nd time around got quicker–less then 30min, look at all the shavings on the water tray had to shave it down in half to 2.30mm. this one is going in Tony.M .25 cricket. one think good about this silicon tube it expand to seal tighter with 200B pressure, its like a long cylinder oring. with this size I would think I loose about 2 shot on the shot count.

Grease it up and leave the nipples….got it!

Thks…

Really appreciate you sharing your designs, Ernest! Thanks! 🙂

Did you use any silicone grease when sliding the depinger in place or is it seated “dry”?

I can’t slide it in without S/grease, that’s the way I like it tight in the tube to adsorbed sound and vibration.

Ernest…what OD is that silicone tube?

If a body was adventurous…a body could cut off both those down-sized ends, and grind out a slightly larger hole in each end. Just a thought…mind you, but a viable one.

Thanks!

Sorry Hoot, I don’t measure the OD—I shave it on a 8″ 80 grit diamond wheel till it fit vary snug at 1st then I press haft my weight to get it in place. I have tried other design with different size holes in different arrangements–but this is the quietest one—> maybe its the hose nipple on each end, I think it limit the volume of air entering the hole and what ever didn’t go in has to make a long U turn to reenter the hole and change the harmonic sound of the ping traveling through the tube, well its only a theory and sounded good!
