Cricket WST .25 is in da House !
I finally received the Cricket so i decided to take a bad picture to show my remarkable photographic skills. I managed to sneak on it while it was doing the dishes. It doesn´t deliver the Bacon like Manny´s gun but it makes mean Pepper Steak AND fills the Dishwasher afterwards. I believe it´s a “she” judging by the way it moves around in the Kitchen. I´m a name her Barbara …
More & better pics to come tomorrow. I´ll be test shooting the Bugger tomorrow.

Thanks! I quess it´s time to bother Ernest again then…
The EdGun MS also has that switch – index or no index.
Ernest was making and selling some of them. He makes a neat rotating one for the Cricket that allows the cheek piece to stay on. I have done the same to ALL of my PCP multi-shots EXCEPT the Cricket. I would try it a while first. It is a very good design with the switch that allows it not to index.
I actually sold the kit to Dr Evil since i didn´t care about the multishot and i still prefer the EdGun single shot in original R3 version. I like the “old” R2.5 & R3 single shot breech better than the new “R3.5” single shotter since the load handle is placed too far back ,IMO, on the newer version and on the multishot. It felt awkward to me.
I don´t care about the MS on the Cricket either so i´m searching for a single shot- tray for it. Anyone know where to find one ???
I´ve been shooting a “R3M” looong before anyone short of Ed & his closest men did. I received the multishot kit a few months back as a warranty replacement for my single shot breech so been there – done that ! 😆

Dear Sir Ville;
Congratulations, i am really happy that you got your new wife finally 😯 😯 , tell me was she virgin? of course Sweden is not like Iraq 🙁 🙁
mine wasn’t, because the bastard fucking guys of our security office in airport unboxed the package and when i received the gun, i received the gun with the soft case only and i never seen the box,
Sir Ville, believe me if you try the new R3M you will not touch you other PCPs, it is really really nice and very good in hands, unfortunately had no time still, but hopefully tomorrow i can do some test….
We sometimes use it as a gravy dispenser. That 6.35mm barrel gives just the right amount with every pour. The Ballistol taste only sweetens the sauce! Cest la Gourmet !!!
SECoda, I agree about your center piece, but wouldn’t that best be served in the middle of the room so that it’s beauty be observed from all angles. Also center pieces should be changed out from time to time, you know, maybe a different caliber.
Oops, I see now that you did mention dining room table. Memory is slow sometimes, more than I care to address.
You know that’s just the perfect centerpiece for any dining table. Everybody in the family should be able to partake in the beauty! 😉 I don’t know if you know who Martha Stewart is but she would be proud.

Phantom misses? I guess I’m lucky in that I don’t seem to have that problem. Can’t mistake that smack factor no matter how that animal acts. Sometimes animals are hard to detect just how well placed the pellet was placed but within a few seconds usually all it takes to confirm. I’ve seen plenty of pass through but never have I mistaken that sound “CLICK – SMACK”! The sound does have its rewards!
Oh how I have fallen in love with these bullpups, all else collects dust while sitting in the safe – wait a minute there’s no dust in my safe- well you know what I mean.
I’ve seen your damned Sparrow. I could hit it with a Gamo at 300 yards.. 😉
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2. This POS iPhone sucks though …
Cool. Once you get the trigger set you will love to shoot that gun. I got the trigger to tweak out a little better than my R3 but both are good. It’s sparrow accurate out to at least 100+ meters. 😀
Emergency notice!
I was looking into the trigger adjustment while waiting for my friend to show up (that bastard is always late when we´re supposed to go hunting) and with little adjustment with the screws the trigger feels already 200% better ! There´s lot of adjustment BTW – you can adjust every aspect of it ; The first stage length, the second stage pull and the stiffness of both. Good stuff ! :7:
The dummie just showed up so off i go !!!
So i went to the track to sight the damned thing in and to shoot some groups. I must say two things : It´s an accurate and powerful piece and the stock trigger sucks!
I need to tinker with the trigger since it has creep like there´s no tomorrow and it´s semi-hard to find the exact release point. Once there it breaks clean though. I had this same issue with my EdGun and after some massage and screws and such from Dr. Evil the trigger was as good as any Match trigger found on any air-rifle i´ve shot. I know the settings are there so i need to dive in…
In the meantime here´s some pics. I did the shooting at our “own” little range at 50 m/ 55 yards and it was quite windy and to top it all off those winds were gusty as hell too. Take the results with a regard to that and it´looks very promising.
The range. My target can be seen in front at 50m.
The “Tool”

20 shots / 50m / JSB Kings

10 shots / 50m / JSB Kings

Like said gusty winds and the trigger kept me from real one holers but i know those are in there so i´m satisfied.
Not like the groups i do with my .22LR – hell i can group that gun the same at 100m / 111 yards but then again this is a new gun to me, far from ideal conditions and the trigger bugs me so it will get much better.
I´m off to Crow hunt so Cheers !! 😯
Along with the jsb kings & benjamin, the Webley Accu – Pell also shoots pretty good. I’ll have to say, the domed Benjamin’s are the most accurate out of my .25 cricket. 1 hole groups at 50 yds.
Congrats, man!
I’ve got one of your gun’s “sisters”; what a mercy-less bitch! Slaughtering rodents like crazy, including groundhogs. Quick kills, though.
Seriously, I’m keeping the fills around 225-230 bar. If you try for the max, prepare to replace an o-ring or two. Besides, efficient air use seems to be around that for me. You’ll still get over 60 good shots, and I mean good. Without sorting kings and without a lot of practice, I was/am getting single hole 5-shot groups at 40 yds. Almost all shots end up touching. Flyers are RARE.
Once you have those tight groups, get a pile of Kings before JSB changes them like they did w/ .22!
Don’t know the fps yet, but they’re moving a lot faster than from my Royale and packing a lot of power for a .25 pellet. Recently passed through a feral cat’s skull and into an oak board; had to dig with a knife to find the pellet skirt over 1/2 in. in that very hard board.
If you hunt with it, you’ll have to get used to “phantom misses”. You think you missed because a cloud of dirt kicks up or a piece of bark blows off a tree-it’s the fast pass-through; as often as not, the target animal does not stop the pellet. Figure the pellet will keep going. It’d be good to know if other, heavy pellets are accurate, like Crow Magnums.
Have fun!

So you think he looked at the Cricket design? I better behave or my 30 cal won’t arrive. 😳
