Q:

Cricket WST .25 is in da House !

I finally received the Cricket so i decided to take a bad picture to show my remarkable photographic skills. I managed to sneak on it while it was doing the dishes. It doesn´t deliver the Bacon like Manny´s gun but it makes mean Pepper Steak AND fills the Dishwasher afterwards. I believe it´s a “she” judging by the way it moves around in the Kitchen. I´m a name her Barbara …

More & better pics to come tomorrow. I´ll be test shooting the Bugger tomorrow.

When i first got it i did the same thing i always do with every gun and took it apart for inspection. It´s actually quite nicely build piece – very similar to EdGun in the regard it´s easy to service and so. I lubed the trigger mechanism, cleaned the barrel (never seen dirtier barrel on any new rifle. The bore was filled with some greasy shit and it took 16 patches and a handful of VFG felts to get it clean) , changed that cheesy factory HTS to a nice aluminium screw that can be adjusted withou tools and adjusted the trigger somewhat. I also mounted an ugly, brown Weaver rail under the forestock (a Magpul knock-off from Greenbase,of course 😀 ) while i wait the black one to arrive so i could mount one of my several Atlas knock-offs on it.
I like the build quality so far but i did have a smallish issue with the action screw and its mounting hole that just didn´t line up correctly with the threaded part in the action. Nothing a new stainless steel screw, cleaning of threads with a threading tool, grease and some fancy moves with a Dremel couldn´t cure although that should´ve been done correctly at the factory QC. Those damned Czechs … 🙄
Anyway – i like it so far and it sure feels more lady-like,more refined than the EdGun with its Russian Bear ruggedness – which i very much like, BTW. Thus i named my EdGun Rasputin after the infamous Russian womanizer who was hard to kill.
Anyway – tomorrow i´ll head to the range and i took a day off for that. Crow hunt will follow in the evening.

I´ll test JSB Kings with different velocities for accuracy (feel free to guide me to the right direction) and i also have a tin of Benjamins to try out so tomorrow should turn out like a day filled with fun! :7:

Sir Ville,

Where did you find your nice aluminum screw that you used to replace the factory HTS one? I like that idea..

I don´t remember the name of the place but it was actually from USA. I´ll dig up the info from PayPal and get back to you. Could´ve been a guy from Wild West AG ?? I need to check…

Treat her like a lady. 😉 I ordered/paid for the 30 cal standard Matador. It was a tough decision. Ed’s picture of the slaughtered bird helped! 😯 I hope it isn’t too loud with that new fandango Moderator he put on them. I think the main difference on refinement are the stock variations. The Cricket is petite and the Matador robust.

The KalibrGun factory doesn’t touch the CZ barrels other than to assemble them so cleaning is the first thing I always do with these guns. There are liable to be some metal shavings in them.

Its just like Christmas.

Congratulations. I am shocked at one thing. You only have a single bowl stainless steel sink? What’s up with that. You guys need bigger kitchens so you will be fat like us Americans. 😀

What do i need several sinks for ? We use dishwashers here. The Kitchen is actually quite big, as seen in this brochure ..

This leads to your next question: “Where the hell is the owen?” and the answer is “waiting for new one – thus the hole beside the Fridge” …

Thanks!
