Q:

DOA 600 Reticle

Anyone here have experience or knowledge working with this type of reticle? I know it’s meant for fast targeting out to 600 yards, but can it work for air gunning out to 150 yards in much the same way? I’m having a tough time finding a light weight scope for the cricket compact….this reticle is one of the few that I like.

I’ll only mount my Crickets and Billy goats with side focus. :8:

Ordered the VX-3L 4.5-14×50 scope customized with parallax focus 25-150 yards, M1 turrets, and varmint hunter reticle. Pretty much a custom Mark 4, but lighter. All under 19oz. Should be near perfect for a compact .22 cricket! I’m having Earnest tune the cricket to 25-28 fpe so I can get 40 shots. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Only feedback i have is this : This time EVERYTHING isn´t bigger in Texas – my .25 cal doubles that force and i get at least 45 shots by now. I´d say around 50 regulated though. And the gun itself is bigger than that tiny little Locust of yours. 😎
Everything´s bigger in Scania, Sweden ! Yiiihawww . Rawhide !

That´s actually a good scope! A friend has that exact same scope on his Air Arms 510 FAC. Not custom but anyway. I like the Leupold AO since there´s only a ring around the obj. end that´s turned and not the whole capoodle. You can have Flip-Up´s without them stopping on the barrel when the ring´s rotated.

Very nice. Looking forward to a report on that. (My .177 Compact Cricket for next year may need one of those too).

That’s great….I just saw 3-D. 1 adult and 2 kids = $38.50. It’s nuts!

I just watched the trailer. The best part is my son worked at the theater during the summer in college so we get mainly free tickets. 😀

I like the Mark 4 and the VX-6 better! The Mark 4 is too heavy though. The VX-6 only offers the Varmint Hunter reticle in the 4-24x model…also too heavy. The VX-3 will be almost 10oz lighter the the Delta scope mounted on the R3M…perfect!

Thor II was great! But I can’t wait to see the new Captain America!!!! Coda, did you see that elevator scene!

Ville, I will tell you if money was no object, the March scopes is the way to go. Every report on them is near flawless. Side by side that scope is beating just about everything. Either it will crush you with its superb optics or it will crush you with its STRONG feature set. No other scope has what they offer. I may splurge on a scope for my Morana (sometime in 2015-2016) and get a March…just to have it.

Thor II is great. Just saw Hunger Games II yesterday and Thor II is better IMO – HG is overrated. Those high end Leupold’s are great. I own 6-7 Var-IIIs on PBs and one Mark 4 Tactical. The Mark 4 is real nice as are the IIIs. I haven’t seen a Six yet.

Talked Leupold. Done deal….custom parallax adjustment down to 25 yards. $25.00 S O L D ! ! !
I’ll order it tomorrow….going to see Thor II with the kiddos. Thanks Coda! Curious to compare the Delta and Leupold side by side.

Neither do i. Let me know what you think. Even better – compare them at the range if you have the possibility to do that.

This one is more like you : http://s4f065fb154822.img.gostorego.com/809E82/cdn/media/s4/f0/65/fb/15/48/22/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/1/2/12-52×56-3_1.jpg

12-52 x 56, 40mm tube and featherweight 48 oz. Yours for a nominal sum of 3.650$. It´s a steal .. 😯

Or I can really piss off the wife and get this.

March Tactical 2.5-24×42. Only 18.7 oz and just shy of $2100.
