Q:

DOA 600 Reticle

Anyone here have experience or knowledge working with this type of reticle? I know it’s meant for fast targeting out to 600 yards, but can it work for air gunning out to 150 yards in much the same way? I’m having a tough time finding a light weight scope for the cricket compact….this reticle is one of the few that I like.

Oh yes but a bit steep. 😯 Leupold is normally very accommodating.

If leupold will do that then I think I will strongly consider a VX-3 or the VX-6. The VX-6 is an excellent scope.

For airgunning you can never have too many aiming points so a half mil-dot or alike is your best bet for a choice of reticle.

That DOA reticle is for range estimating deer based on their head and rack size.

Saw it and like it. Parallax focus is 50 yards to infinity. I don’t think it will be crystal clear at 25 yards or less. My a Delta focuses down to 25 yards and at 4.5x 10 yards you can’t get the reticle and target crystal clear….still pretty close though. I wouldn’t shoot anything closer then 15 yards so its perfectly fine. I’m just not sure with the leupold at 50 yards setting. I talked to swarovski and zeiss. Neither will adjust parallax on a side focus. I’m not sure if leupold will…but that’s a great reticle. The Bushnell is 10 yards to infinity.

If you can live with a scope of lesser class take a look at the Simmons Mag 44 6-24xAO. It weighs practically nothing and has MD reticle.
13 oz and SF.
