Q:

E-TaCREG Numbers as Promised.

Hey guys,

I’ve got a sore thumb and a list of numbers to share with you. This is just the beginning. More will follow.

I did not do shot count numbers for all these pellets. I have too many to test to fill the 48ci tank and shoot for shot count. I hope you understand that I wanted to get the velocity numbers out first. I used my 22ci tank for all of these so I could conserve as much air as possible. I was getting about 10-12 shots per fill before it went off the reg. You can figger double the shot count for the 48ci. tank.

Here are 2300psi JDSAirman Reg and E-TaCREG numbers for 25cal in 24″ barrel (Thanks Rob!!!!) lubed with FP-10:
JSB 24.4: 921 (922-917)
Eunjin 34.3: 816 (819-812)
Eunjin 43: 770 (776-765)
Crowmag 26.2: 908 (910-905)
Benji 27.8: 896 (wow are these consistent !) (897-894) May shoot for accuracy and shot count.

For grins I shot some JSB Express .177 and got 1170fps from a 18″ barrel (Thanks DAVE!!)…I could only imagine the shotgun pattern.

None were shot for accuracy, only velocity.

I have learned that although this is regulated, there is quite a bit of tuning that can be done with the top hat and powerwheel to maximize the results. I fooled a bit and found a setting that was good and left it. Your mileage may vary.

I’ll be at it again tomorrow.

Regards, and thanks for your continued support.

Jim

SSS, was this a burst disk on the JDS reg?

I forgot to mention the barrel its 24” , the valve is one I had sent to Tony some months ago for an o-ring mod & polishing . I think he opened up the valve spring retainer some .I’ve got parts on this thing from Airhog , Tony , Jim , Wok , JDS , + grips & scope from Cabelas . My original intention was to get into airgunning to save money on 22 ammo . Things don’t go as planned .
Jim I’ll get the E-TaREG in the mail to you in a few days . the 25 is up & running so I’m in no hurry on the 22 , Don’t know obout the burst disc though, something not right there . Maybe I’ll just fill the hole with JB weld . 😀 😀

Shoots and all,

Sorry for the problem. As I have said before, my products come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. This will be fixed at no cost to SSS.

They both fit my reg body, and I will be following up to see what is wrong.

I hope to have a string for you all today from the 2500 as well.

There is one other option that may give us more power…it may be here tomorrow…..

Regards,
JIm

Nice SSS. 24″ barrel correct?

Guys as my old english teacher used to say this has been one of them there days that things don’t go to good . Got the new bottle and 2500 psi reg in the mail today . While assembling to E-TaCREG found a problem with the E- TaCs threads , not cut deep enough i think. No big deal i’ll get it back to Jim .
I took the E-TaCREG off of the 2200 reg and installed the 2500 reg , no problems . While filling I hear a pop! at 2400 psi , burst disc popped . Disc is marked 3K but must have been 2K .
Ok swapped disc from other reg and filled to 2800 which is all the air left in big tank . Plenty for a quick test .
Pabs just for you . the 25 JSBs shoot at about 960 fps the 28g benjis at 940 the 31g kodiacs just over 900 . These are good numbers but I still think a larger prechamber would up them a little . This is with a TH of .090 , 72g hammer , PW at 6 . When JIm post his numbers whe’ll see how close they are to these .
Its starting to rain again ( this is good ). I’m going to the VFD and borrow some more air .

Brilliant, thanks SSS 😎 😀 😎 😀 😎

960. A little lower than hoped, but GOOD ENOUGH!!
Be good to see a string….. 😆

Sorry Guys,

Been tied up with…well…life.

I have been working on a gift for my parent’s 50th anniversary, E-TaCs, VRTs, Valve Protection Covers etc.

I also am the Treasurer and a Director for our airgun club and we are having a Field Target match in September. It all takes time.

Add a job and family and airguns just have to fill the cracks…I’m not independently wealthy like Hoot, 🙂 so please understand I’m doing my best.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your continued patience as I do my best to get the numbers to you.

Regards,
Jim

Excellent SSS 😀 😀 😎
I’m chomping at the bit to see the 2500 numbers with the JSB kings and Kodiaks. SO I CAN ORDER MY REG!!!

Jim is probably away doing something trivial & unimportant like earning a living at a real job . Patience is not a good thing when you are old because you either die or forget what it was you were being patient about , so I ordered another tank and. 2500 psi reg last friday . Hope to have it tomorrow . Will post numbers as soon as I get them .
While wating I have been doing a lot of shooting with the 22 on the 2200 psi reg . I have a good solid shooting bench and winds have been calm , ( betwen rain showers ) . At 40 & 50 yds you generaly get a group that is just a single hole ! 1/2 ” across and sometimes smaller . I belive this regulated condor will shoot with any rifle no matter what the price . Running low on 18g JGBs I shot some 21g kodiacs and was surprised to see them shoot about as well as the JSBs .Don’t know if it is the shot consistancy or what ? they never shot that well before . The JSBs were averaging 990 the kodiacs about 940 fps .

Still no air?? 😕

Here is some air for you 😛

Still no air?? 😕

Jim, Using my whopping great regulator pre-chamber, a 13CI tank and a 2000psi reg, and a Massive Big Bore valve feeding my .25 cal

Im getting 920 fps with .25 JSB’s for 10 shots, with only a 13CI tank!!!

That is the setting with the valve turned down as low as it could go, on about medium power, still with the 2000psi reg, I was hitting 1050 fps with the 31 Grain Kodiaks!! But it was using about 10 BAR every shot from such a small tank.

I would do some testing with my 48CI tank but I don’t have the will power to pump that fucker up. Im getting a SCBA bottle soon anyways. Figures say that with the 48 CI bottle, I will get 55 shots at 920 fps with JSB’s and around 50 if I tweak it up to 950 fps

I pumped my 48CI tank up with my FX pump, I had to have 7 and a bit sessions of 100 pump strokes, then on the 15th or so shot, a piece of brass swarf got into the seal and dumped the whole tank over about 20 miniutes, not happy!!

Damn you tease 😆

Looking good. The 2500 should be just about right for the .25 from the looks of things!!!

All this time I thought Jim had been filling those tanks with a hand pump , now we find he has been cheating and using HPA bottles .I’m shocked , truly shocked , Havn’t been this disappointed since someone told me pro wrestling was fake !
