Q:

E-TaCREG Numbers as Promised.

Hey guys,

I’ve got a sore thumb and a list of numbers to share with you. This is just the beginning. More will follow.

I did not do shot count numbers for all these pellets. I have too many to test to fill the 48ci tank and shoot for shot count. I hope you understand that I wanted to get the velocity numbers out first. I used my 22ci tank for all of these so I could conserve as much air as possible. I was getting about 10-12 shots per fill before it went off the reg. You can figger double the shot count for the 48ci. tank.

Here are 2300psi JDSAirman Reg and E-TaCREG numbers for 25cal in 24″ barrel (Thanks Rob!!!!) lubed with FP-10:
JSB 24.4: 921 (922-917)
Eunjin 34.3: 816 (819-812)
Eunjin 43: 770 (776-765)
Crowmag 26.2: 908 (910-905)
Benji 27.8: 896 (wow are these consistent !) (897-894) May shoot for accuracy and shot count.

For grins I shot some JSB Express .177 and got 1170fps from a 18″ barrel (Thanks DAVE!!)…I could only imagine the shotgun pattern.

None were shot for accuracy, only velocity.

I have learned that although this is regulated, there is quite a bit of tuning that can be done with the top hat and powerwheel to maximize the results. I fooled a bit and found a setting that was good and left it. Your mileage may vary.

I’ll be at it again tomorrow.

Regards, and thanks for your continued support.

Jim

Arrrgh… 😡 😆

YOU ALL CAN <BITE ME> LOL.

I’ll get you the stinking numbers, don’t worry.

If you know of a scuba shop that is open 24hrs in Lex, KY I wanna hear about it. If you don’t know of one, and your airgun buddies are not available, I just wanna know how you are going to fill your tank.

If you don’t think I want to put a string of 2500 psi shots on here, you are nuts.

It’s beer-thirty,

Thats pretty damn feeble !

Come on damn it, give us the numbers…. 😮 😆

😯 Hell yeah!! 😯

Thanks! 😀

Looks good. I’m gonna go for the 53cu in botle with a droop on the etacreg so I don’t need to crush my face up against the bottle. Hope the bottle collar on the frame can handle the extra weight… 😕

I’m going to attempt to send some pics of what the reg and bottle look like with a butt plate and bottle cover . First attempt at sending pics so bear with me . The butt plate and L braket ore made from a piece of strap steel .The bottle is wrapped with black nylon fishing cord and sprayed down with bed liner . I got carred away with the bed liner , a lighter coat would be better .It’s not the clean sleek lines of the stock bottle but I think it looks pretty good . It shoulders great and shoots great!

Shoots,
I would imagine that the setup is different. I need to use the same PW and tophat settings to compare all the different pellets, barrels, reg pressures. I’m at PW2 so I don’t have to change it everytime I change the barrel. Not even sure what exactly the tophat is at, the valve spring preload et al.

Synopsis,

Sure. 2300psi, 3k fill JSB 24.4 24″ barrel

Looking good!

And yes, those .2500 numbers are much awaited…… 😆

If the increase in fps between 2100 and 2300 stays the same on up to 2500, that should see almost exactly 980s…. 😎

Jim

A question for those of us this side of the pond who are subject to a power limit of 12 ftlbs muzzle energy without a licence.

How straightforward is it to set the reg up to around 85 bar (about 1230 psi)?

I believe regs like those on the Walther Dominator which is popular for Field Target shooting are set around that level.

Shooting .177 7.9 grain pellets (JSB Exact Express) would be looking for about 805 to 815 fps.

Definately looking like 2500 psi output needed for the .25 now, based on those numbers. I’ll be happy with 30 regulated shots pushing JSB Kings at 980’s if it can do it.

Jim,

Any chance of a string?

Looking good for .25 cal!

Those numbers are about 12 fps faster than i’m showing with a 2200 psi reg . Hopefully the 2400 & 2500 will pick it up at a faster rate .
I think you will be plesently pleased when you do a shot count with the 48 bottle , I’m showing a minimum of 6 shots per 100psi , so you can get 50 or more on a 3000 psi fill . Just for the heck of it I tried a 3200 fill and it worked great .
