Q:

Ed Gun Tony wants to know

He has asked me in a PM

“When do you plan to stop cursing, inpoliteness and blackmailing in this forum? ”

I told him to ask on the forum what he can do to get all of this to stop.

So what does the TAG think?

Please post your suggestions here.

1. I asked a question about if the stocks laminated. I just asked a simple question

2. I should have said The grain seems be to wide in that photo, which may be part of the problem of the broken stocks.

3. I’m not bashing the EDgun. I truly believe that it COULD be a great gun and company after it fixes some issues. I will be watching how this turns out and that will be the deciding factor.

yep…Ed mentioned he was walking Tony through the assembly

It all most looks like a crack in the same spot. Are the Edgun stocks one piece or are they laminated?

🙄 And now we are seeing things that are not there and saying things that are not true.

Come on guys I know some are upset but lets not start making shit up.

We all know that Tony checks every single gun before it ships, he is the one packing them and in case of this last shipment he actually assembled all of them. (it was mentioned by him in other threads)

And there is NO crack on the zocoloco’s stock 😯

I keep going back to zocoloco’s post and looking at photos

Note I clean it up to get the other non important photos out.

I have to wonder if Tony checks the guns before shipping. And if he or others think there is a expectation to do so. Perhaps the new facilities that are producing them are putting out damaged guns or at least they are by the time Tony gets them. After all this was not a issue prior to this shipment.

If it were my money I certainly would have the expectation that they be inspected and packaged properly and issues fixed with replacement parts.

It is a product line that has grown in popularity and needs to grow in the business sence too it would seem. He needs to hire somone to communicate for him, an email address and no confirmation of funds recieved would not soothe my comfort zone.

One of the things I liked about the XPairguns experience was the fact that the builder communicated with me, he told me when to expect the product and when I had issues after the sales, a barrel I consided to be sub quaility in interior finnish tho it shot fine, a replacement was swift in coming.

But perhaps it is a differnece in culture also. And please, I do not mean that as a slam or insult. Jim you and I have set foot in different countries and you well know expectations are different in those venues.

About my profanity, Tony, in my case anyway, and I was raised in a cowboy/ranching culture, “bullshit” is a term that means something is not right or the explanation of those issues just does not ring true, things need to be changed to make them right.

Altho not my cup of tea, the Edgun is obviously a product that in quality ranks at the top of the pack, no question about that, it would look like from here, that your operation needs to grow with the demand and expectations.

Good luck.

Roachcreek

RC:
actually you were not one of the ones I had in mind
this is spreading from here to other boards
there are a certain group of folks that live for drama
in this case there is getting to be a bit of folks using an abnormal event as part of their justification to slam a product they never cared for in the first place…no not you but it’s cropping up on posts on the Yellow.

Now had this been a regular event I would have a different opinion but truthfully based on posts here it’s not and certainly wasn’t ever in the past.
one question nobody is asking is whether Tony even has a pile of spare stocks to swap out in some exchange…judging from the bit of email correspondence posted he doesn’t and it will take likely some months to even have replacements shipped in…this isn’t Crosman.
so given that, what would satisfy the 2 or 3 folks with damaged stocks?

It may be instructive for some to pay attention to what has happened to a few of MAC1s International customers when they received bad product…they were basically told sorry, nothing I can do to help you, your gun now. Sucks the ding dong for the end user but really, what is Tim supposed to do?

I bought a used B96 from AoA a few months back at a great price
when it was delivered there were NO magazines…no single shot or 5 rounders
called AoA and was told they were shipped with the gun…Bullshit and I’ll tell you it is near impossible to find spares on this side of the pond
I had an unusable gun
ended up importing an assload from overseas, took me a month to find a shop abroad that had a small stock, AoA hung me out to dry does that keep me from buying from AoA? Nope, while pissed I considered it an abnormal event just as the couple of broken stocks are a totally abnormal event
obviously packing and such will need to evolve at an increased cost to the consumer which means more bitching and whining by some

again if Tony doesn’t have replacement stocks on hand just exactly what will satisfy those out for blood?

It seems this forum is turning into the yellow day by day.

:nono: :nono:

Everyone has the right but a sticky is a little pushing it.

Tough Shit

We put up a forum solely for the Edgun users here and the Edgun company has received free advertising and made money by its existence here on the TAG.

If anyone thinks the Admin here is going to allow its members to spend $2000 on an airgun that arrives broken due to the negligence of the company and they refuse to take care of it they are mistaken.

There is not one single person who makes and sells things here on the TAG that would be allowed to do that and then be protected by the admins of this forum.

And you know what Naser you gave me an idea. Since you think it is turning into the Yellow Forum here “day by day” then maybe I will test that observation

Maybe I will Lock and close the EdGun Forum if they do not take care of the customers that receive broken guns.

I mean come on they have had a FREE ride here for long time and what they have saved in advertising and maintain a website here you think they could fix the couple of stocks they claim that are so rare.

Remember they do not pay one single cent in any way shape or form. All we expect is for them to take care of their customers the way the rest of us do here on the TAG.

Why should we do them any favors if they are not going to take care of our members?

Jim,

Perhaps I was the one you refer to as doing the “piling on.”

After all I have not purchased an Edgun nor am I on the list.

And perhaps I am the one refered to as using profanity for I did in fact use the word “Bullshit”

So does that mean I can’t comment on the subject based on the experience of others?

I didn’t own a Rogue either, and was told that I should not comment on the subject by several here on this forum, and we all know how the Rogue turned out, and in the end I, as a person who had never owned a Rogue and never wanted one, hit the nail right on the head.

So I have to ask, are we to only comment on first hand experiences?

I have bought a lot of high end rifles, some of those transactions were good and some were not, but as a result I know the level of service I have recieved and the level I would expect others to recieve and what should be acceptable and what should not.

Packaging and getting the rifle to the purchaser unharmed is part of that expectation, satisfying the customer if it does not arrive safely is also part of that expectation.

And having it glued back together no matter how well done, does not fit the defination of satisfactory service either.

True the box can arrive with tire tracks on it and that is out of our the consumers control and the control of the vendor, but if it is not packaged correctly tire tracks become a mute point, it will be damaged by the uncaring shipping companies.

What if no one commented on this as Tony would like, would anything get fixed? What if those considering buying an Edgun did not know that these guns are being packaged poorly and it was only up to those who recieved damaged guns to speak?

I just can’t see the world doing business like that personally, it is up to the consumers, and potential consumers to speak out about their experiences and to comment on what they will or will not accept as a consumer.

I feel that potential consumers should be able to express their opinion on this subject, without those comments, and the vendor seeing the potiential loss of business I feel nothing will change and it will be business as usual.

Johnsairmadness has a legitiment bitch, he paid a large sum of money, he waited a long time for the product. He did his part, when it arrived damaged, when if packaged properly it probably would not have, he recieved no satisfaction.

Now the vendor is upset because the world is commenting on his poor service, and lack of after market service, it would seem that fits my original description I believe.

Roachcreek

Syn…
there is heavy miscommunication going on within all this drama

let me give you an example:
“But when they start to ship. Please add my name to the waiting list of the NEW R3 Edguns. ”
so that customer wants his name added AFTER they start shipping?
note he did Not request to be added to the current list, sorry Rossall…words Do mean things

Yes Syn I agree in your hypothetical unless Tony clearly makes the consumer aware the product is being shipped with no insurance he would be the responsible party
a good number of us knew the guns were being shipped without insurance and anyone who follows this section KNEW how the were packed…been pix posted
note no one was bitching until 2 or 3 rifles were damaged
now all of a sudden you have cats who never had an interest in an Edgun suddenly piling on
frankly isn’t that a bit bogus?

yes Tony and Ed need to work this out, like I stated it’s not going to go away but this really is becoming a classic internet pile up

quote Riverside:

you will get a variety of Peanut Gallery posts from folks that have no interest in purchasing one of Ed’s fine rifles that will pile on given the chance and thats some of what you are now experiencing

I am on the list for a Lelya, although the recent rumors of it’s production being delayed have me a bit less than hopeful that I will see anything for some time…

The large majority of the people here are on the list or have their EdGuns (some are even on the list for a second) and as far as I can tell you are pretty much the only person (apart from Tony) who thinks taking someone’s money and doing nothing when something gets damaged due to insufficient packaging is ok.

I will honestly admit that it is a bit disconcerting to think that if my Lelya was to be damaged between Tony and myself i’d have to take the hit.

What if the actions themselves were damaged?

Would the response be the same and the persons involved would be out a working rifle and the money?

Would you (RS) still think it’s fine to provide damaged actions and not do anything to rectify the situation? If he hasn’t even offered to fix the stocks what makes you think he would fix or replace an action?

Is that still acceptable in your book? Or is it ok to provide damaged merchandise if it’s under a certain percentage of the overall price? 🙄

Personally I would have fixed the stock myself but felt way better knowing that Tony and Ed had my back regardless of which part was broken.

I think so far it’s obvious what needs to happen to make this go away (as Tony himself requested in this topic) yet nothing has been done.

That’s not going to help things unless selling less rifles and having to deal with fallout is the goal.

I really didn’t want this to happen. I have been enjoying the airgun world for a long time and I have several pages of all GOOD feedback on the Yellow Forum BOI. Not one bad one. I waited to post anything about my issue to see if Tony would do anything because I know how these things can get out of hand. BUT nothing was done. He told me it was my problem in a round about way. I have all his e-mails and can state word for word the phone conversations we have had.
So to protect others, I as a Honest US citizen, will inform others to be careful. Tony, all you had to do is take care of all the broken stocks at NO COST. And learn by your mistakes and ship the next Edguns BETTER. AND then I would’ve stated How great Tony took care of my broken stock issue and how I’m soo glad to own an Edgun and have another one on order. Until then I guess this is how it’s going to be. And I truely hate it myself.
Oh by the way AOA replaced my other broken stock on my friends Royale after 10 days of ownership. We got it today in one piece. Luckily.

Not Sure what has gone on in the last few weeks …. BUT for me. There is NO Direct way to contact Tony or Ed. From what I can tell it is by luck if they choose to reply to any questions asked. (As long as the e-mail does not get lost) From what I Know about bussiness, Part of that is updating customers of Orders and fixing problems…..I know I have been Very Frustrated with a Lack of Information on my Order….(and yes.. I did edit my email address, Bu the rest is 100% original)

I don’t know how to post a quote from a previous Post, but on April 3 2011 I made a post with my Initial interest Followed by my E-mail requesting pricing and to be added to a waiting list..

ORIGINAL E-Mail……..
From: tmbXXXXX <tmbXXXXX@cox.net>
Date: April 5, 2011 9:19:39 PM MST
To: Tony Rudenko <trudenko@yahoo.com>
Subject: R3 Waiting List

Tony,
I hope this finds you and your family Well and Healthy.
I am sorry to hear of all the problems that Ed has been going through. But we all have faith in being able to
get product shipped over here to the U.S.

With that in mind, I know you have no idea if and when any of the new guns will arrive in the U.S.
But when they start to ship. Please add my name to the waiting list of the NEW R3 Edguns.

As soon as you know what caliber and options will be available I will make a final decision. For now I would be
interested in one “Standard Length .22cal” Or & “Long .25 cal”

Please accept be best wishes for you and your family.

Sincerely,

Mark B.

I will again note that LAST APRIL 2011 I Requested Pricing and to be put on the waiting List for the NEW R3.. and Again in May2011. I did not think it was a problem until I noticed guns being shipped at the end of 2011 that I sent another email requesting my status….

Finally got a reply…..appears I got put on the list in SEPT 25th 2011 ????

Product Should be shipped WITH INSURANCE No Questions Asked. As The Sole Source of this Product On the Planet I would think that what ever needs to be Done By the Distributor and Manufacturer should be done…YUP… STUFF BREAKS DURING SHIPPING !!!!

The TRUE Integrity of any Company in Not How Great the product or service is…..BUT What they do when Things go Wrong…..

With regards to Availability, I am not sure what the Big Secret is….How Many guns were shipped???….When they will Arrive???….HOW Far Down the Waiting List Am I.???????

This should be information that should be available…. Tom Kaye from ShoeBox Compressors was able to keep a public waiting list…and he is just a small outfit too…

THE ONLY WAY TO CONTACT THE US DISTRIBUTOR IS VIA “E-MAIL”. ?????
I am pretty sure that we are ALL ADULTS, NON of these guns OR Products are Required for LIFE>>>> These are just Pricy Toys We Have Grown to Enjoy and a Demand has risen…… I personally have faith the damaged items will get fixed or replaced… It just really sucks to have a $1600.00 item broken that has no FAST Way to get Fixed….

Mark…
Faithful Edgun Owner and Supporter…

Still Waiting for my E-mail….and R3 ??????? May be 2012 ????

Give WOK a free EDgun and no one on here can talk bad about a damaged gun or they will be banned! Sound familiar? HA, HA!

Just kidding, seems like he needs to make the deal with the broken stocks right and double box the guns for now on.

We had a lot of cursing and impoliteness during bootcamp, but they served a purpose, they helped turn boys into fighting men…often willing to die for reasons not totally understood in fact.

Here in the forum, ideas clash, arguments float around, emotions erupt, because we are passionate with our beloved hobby. Hence, impoliteness and cursing, though I am not saying they are justified in a forum of gentlemen and gentleladies, we should be aware of the root causes, and address them from there.

Yes, deal with the roots issues, and everything will be alright, hopefully.
