Ed Gun Tony wants to know
He has asked me in a PM
“When do you plan to stop cursing, inpoliteness and blackmailing in this forum? ”
I told him to ask on the forum what he can do to get all of this to stop.
So what does the TAG think?
Please post your suggestions here.

^^ THIS!
Tony you need to wake up dude. If pretty much everybody thinks you are wrong, it probably means you are wrong.
I received an EdGun a year ago in perfect condition, but that doesn’t mean I will take your side in this matter. You have raised the prices on a already high priced gun. Pack them better and if one arrives with ANY issues at all, make it right for the customer.
Very disappointed with how you have handled this and the other customer issues with your/Ed’s guns.

To EdGun Tony:
My guess is all cursing and impoliteness would stop immediately, at least where you’re concerned, if everyone received their Edgun in pristine condition. On the rare occasion a gun arrives damaged, find out what your customer wants to do, and do it. There is something to the saying “the customer is always right”. C’mon man, why should the buyer, the one guy in the process who has zero do do with packaging/shipping, be held responsible for damages?
Blackmail? Don’t think so.
my Edgun experience was fine
was placed on list last fall with a very brief email correspondence
waited my time, sent Tony a personal check and he shipped the next day before it even cleared!
My rifle arrived in Fine shape…I can see offering improved packing and insurance for extra money to eleminate future problems
clearly something has to be done with regards to the damaged stocks…sucks for both the vendor AND the consumer, further it’s not something that will go away until it is some how addressed to the satisfaction of the parties involved
Tony, you will get a variety of Peanut Gallery posts from folks that have no interest in purchasing one of Ed’s fine rifles that will pile on given the chance and thats some of what you are now experiencing
as far as cussing, thats the nature of TAG
this place is kind of the Wild Wild West of Airgun forums 😉
I also received my gun in great condition. Yes the packing was not up to my standards but I have had guns sent to me in terrible packing and wondered how they made it to me. That said, the matter with the broken stocks should have been dealt with in private. We need to understand that not everyone conducts business the same way. Each company learns to do business based on models and common sense. If something has been working for a long time and a problem suddenly arises, the business person may not be ready to deal with it in the best way. Ultimately, products will be sold and bought regardless of what happens to others. If a persons has had luck buying from a particular vendor, the relationship is strong. The opposite is also true. Some people buy based on reputations, some based on “want”. In my case, I wanted an Edgun and if I have had knowledge of damage products not being dealt with by the seller, I would still order the Edgun. I wanted one and I would be willing to assume the risk of that type of business practice. These guns are exclusive. We can’t just go to Kmart and pick one up. If Tony decides to make it “right”, he will win in the long run. If he decides not to, he is taking a risk just how we did. I hope I made my angle on this matter clear, because as much as I want to believe that Edgun and Co. are great people, they are making it hard for everybody to have the same feelings by making comments that reflect an “I don’t care, I got my cash” attitude. On top of that, I have one of his products which I am truly enjoying and when I need parts, I hope he is available to supply them. It’s a double edge sword in my opinion. We have all read over the years how customers are “cut – off” in other forums. Right? I hope this doesn’t turn into something like that. We are all here for one common reason, to shot airguns and enjoy the hell out of it.
peace out,
Gabe G.
We are on the same page Lt…I so agree. I too would of handled it discreetly at first. If no results…look out. I have frequent flier miles 😉 But, Tony and Ed have been amazing to me and they don’t know me from “Jack”. Come to think of it…I don’t know jack either…lol. The gun is amazing though!
My experience exactly. Tony has been great to work with. Always gets back to me quickly with an e-mail response but I don’t bombard him with “Is it almost here” e-mails either. My new R3 EDgun is fantastic. I do think that some of the initial requests for replacement stocks should have been coordinated first through direct e-mails to Tony, not publicized here on the forum.
I’m for paying more for better packaging, double boxing, insurance, I love the bag so that has to stay.
If it had been my decision, I’d send replacement stocks, request the old stocks to be returned, then offer them for sale for those of us that want fix them. I’d buy one in a minute to have a field stock that I wouldn’t mind dinging up or have it camo or gray coated so I could have a stock to use for my chosing.
I’ll stop when the mods stop 😛
I am so sorry for you guys who have had broken guns on arrival, but my gun arrived in amazing condition and it only took me 4 adjustments to get it zero’d in at 45 yards. My next 10 shots pretty much went into the same hole without any more adjustments. I am amazed, Tony and Ed! I do wish the guys with the broken stocks would get some sort of help from Tony or Ed. Tony has been amazing as far as I have worked with him. Plus, this gun is so amazing it almost makes me sick, lol. People I have briefly dealt with in this forum have been amazing as well. I thank everyone and wish everyone the best of luck with their new guns!

First of all I’m typing on the Windows keyboard because I spilled coffee on the original one this morning. I had something to say on other topics but I was to lazy to click. I took the challenge to click A LOT just to type this.
Second of all, I saw Tony as a awkward man the minute I saw his posts on this forum, but didn’t say anything because I’m “breed apart” as he is.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing. You just have to weight your words around us and don’t have to take us very seriously.
My finger hurts…
a phone number would be nice and an offer to double box guns with extra attention to packing them up before shipping and insurance,of course that will be extra, would be all that i would ask
Simple…
Do what is right.
Fix or replace the stocks and package the rifles better for transport.
In regards to the censorship “cursing & impoliteness” you might want to try another forum if that’s what you want. I think you have been extremely impolite by telling a customer that received a broken product that it was not your responsibility.
Blackmail? Where?
A bunch of people expressing regret and deciding not to risk their $2000 purchase arriving broken and get told to stuff it by the folks responsible for packing them is NOT blackmail. By taking their money and delivering a broken item you have effectively stolen from them.
If someone has threatened to turn you in to the authorities for producing a grey market product (I don’t know if that is the case or not) because you took money and refused to do anything when someone received a damaged product, perhaps you should try an understand your position and act like a human being to be treated like a human being.
THIS IS ALL YOUR OWN DOING DUDE.
Blame TAG all you want, this forum put you on the map, overloaded you with orders and your own inability to understand what people expect from a $2000 rifle is what has created this problem.
Do what is right, fix the products that were broken, apologize, promise to and pack the next batch better to avoid this situation in the future.
If you do that, this “shit” will go away faster than you can image.
Do nothing and you will wear this for a long time.

I know Tony is an honest guy and this situation is blowing out of proportion.
It really is true that he shipped hundreds of Edguns same way before and they all arrived just fine. I just dont think he was quiet ready to deal with this situation with 3-4 broken stocks in same shipment.
I am positive person and I think if we just give him some time he will make things right. Shipping/packing adjustments will be made and this will not happen again.
