TJ, sounds perfectly reasonable to me, don’t need proof because you’re not making unbelievable claims! But realistically do you think you could “easily” beat a 1/4″ five shot group at 50 yards with the MRod all day long? Crazy good groups right, for any rifle at that! How about shoot six, five shot groups all at 1/2″ or less with two different types of pellets?
I had issues with my AF rifle as well, best caliber by far was 25. I think that caliber is better suited for accuracy right out of the box than the others. I tried to get the FT match director to let me shoot with a 25 but he was not going to have any of it… Something about completely destroying the targets. 😆

Syn I did shoot a .301 at 50yds. one day with my M-Rod Then I noticed I still had 3 more rounds to fire. Boy did I feel slightly stupid.
I think you are dead on with the .25 cal. Seems that at the speed these rifles are sending lead down range, and the weight of pellets it all balances out rather easy and gives you a much larger playing field as far as tuning.

It may take a small time to get used to the bullpup design, and the lack of “check weld” onto a wood stock. Small potatos…once you get used to that, you will find…IF you use only JSB 18gr pellets, that holes magically appear where your crosshairs are.
Check out Ted From Madison too, he has a ton of videos on Youtube. Again, search for “Edgun” or “Ted’s Holdover”. He doesn’t have earlobes, but we’ve never held that against him.

I have started a folder for all my findings a while back ago. Now I will add to my findings! I’m hip to Ted. I think he influenced me the most when it came down to my decision. I was in search for what could be my first and last pcp, and the matador was my choice. Now I get to play that waiting game. Oh, and I read, too, that the Matador was designed to shoot, especially, the jsb 18.1’s. That sure takes the guessing crap outta finding the right pellet for your gun 🙂

wellshithowdy,,, one of your friends just said their Ed Shot right out of the box but their other guns didn’t. And your saying your airforce shot right out of the box. I know it will shoot right out of the box so does the marauders and they shoot good but of corse maybe Ed has enought sence to clean and prep the barrel for you guys cause he(Like Myself) Is begaining to understand that you all aint got sence enought to clean a gun and get the preservitives out of the barrel. So ED does it for you,(Ed) forgive em man they are stupid Americans and only 10% of this nation has ever been in the armed forces so they don’t have sence enought to prep a barrel. He aint proved it to me,LOLOL I showed him the only picture I had and I was only testing the gun out of the box, no mods or peek and tweeks and I’ll be darn it does what you guys have to send it to some $500 extra shop to get someone to make it shoot for ya, Now listen it might all be in your mind, But take the darn thing out of the box and try it befor you send it half way across the USA to get someone to fix it after you all tear it up. Hell man I have to use heavy pellets in mine to keep the mfrom going subsonic. And you all cant get 40 Foot pounds out of yours,, am I a chosen Son or something? do they send me the good stuff and you all the bad stuff?

All of my guns are out of the box son thats why they are not 4 states over being repaired LOLOL. They are not peeked and tweeked either straight from crosman, maybe the problem is you guys just won’t leave well enought alone. I have a friend that has blown up $10,000 woth of amplifiers in one weak, because he wont keep the darn things out of CB peek and tweek shops. Now I think crosman has made air guns long enought to know how to make it right, and mine shoots good right out of the box. Ive seen at least a dozen on these forums messed up and you guys screeming for help cause you forgot the number of turns LOLOL Leave the darn thing alone, if you look on the box it says for adults only,, so why are you guys acting like kids and tearing things up? Are you boared or something? If your gun didn’t shoot good out of the box, you are supposed to send the darn thing back, they have customer service even at Walmarts they say send it back to the manufacturer… You all shold have every screw driver and allen wrench taken away from you, and you might be able to shoot a gun and keep it off the work bench. None of my guns are tweeked. I have one Toney Gun and it is like Toney set it when Johncondor25 sold it to me and I even have the paper Tony shot at in the case.
Now leave the darn things alone and quit acting like a bunch of professionals, hell you bought the darn thing if you was good enought to Mod a professional gun looks like you cauld make you own and not have to buy one in the first place. (OLD DIP SHIT TOLD YOU THAT) 😀 😀
Art, go to the top and use the Search feature the forum offers. Enter the term “Edgun”. There isn’t anything I know of, regarding an Edgun, that isn’t covered on this forum. I mean tip to toe, top to bottom, inside and out…it’s all there from the R2.0 up to today’s R3 and beyond.

The fill probe is included with the Edgun. You will need a fill hose that attaches to your scuba tank, which you will fill with your shoebox, which is now quite reliable per recent reports. Per the fill hose, I suggest a micro-fill hose, as it wastes a lot less air when disconnected. Check out Ebay or almost any air soft reseller. Most scuba tanks use a K-valve, so your fill hose will need to fit a K-valve.
The fill hose order will ask what connector you will use. The Edgun fill probe simply screws onto the end of the fill hose, and is plugged into the Edgun when filling. I suggest you get a small container of silicone grease to coat the probe O-rings, and hold it in place the first time you fill it. Silicone grease is available at all dive shops and most air soft dealers.
Coat the Edgun pellet probe with a tiny bit of silicone grease from time to time. Helps them last longer. Contact Old Goat about ordering some replacement O-rings for the Edgun. He has access to the best and the correct size. They don’t wear out often, but they do wear and replacements are recommended. The Edgun usually comes with a couple of common O-rings that wear out.
Fill SLOWLY…..or the air cyclinder will get quite hot and your psi will go down as it cools. Go slow, barely crack the scuba tank air valve, listen for the faintest sound of hiss and let it fill at that point.

Hi guys (and gals, if any here)… I kind of recently got on the waiting list for one of the .22 standard matadors. This will be my very first pcp airgun and I am more excited than a kid at Christmas. From what I have read, that is the normal feeling others get about this thing. Now, remember, I am new to pcp’s, so pretty please don’t flame me if my question is really pathetic…I am wondering if I need to buy a special filling adapter from Edgun/Tony before I get the gun, or is there a type of one someone can send me a link to, so I can order it and have it on standby? By filling adapter, I do mean the part that goes into the gun to fill it. I am going to buy one of those shoebox compressors “that one guy” is making and selling as well. Does anyone have any feedback on those? Also, when you have bought Edguns from Tony, how did you choose to pay, by check or money order? And, who did you write it out to, Tony or Edgun…or what?

I just got back from the Doc he said nothing was wrong with me, so every body on this forum is crazy, and I’m perfectly sane,, Heck I even picked out the miniture Monkey on the blop on the photo picture, thought of an EdGun imeditly to shoot it off with but didn’t want to say anything so I made it back home with a true mark of exelance.. So that does it,, I’m sane you all are crazy and nope I didn’t buy the 308 it is still for sale, any thing that stays in a store longer than an EdGun stays on the Yellow can’t be much although it will hit a Quarter consistantly at 300 Yards, its not an Ed,,….;););) 😀

Well I am one of the 10% and was a Drill Instructor, I do believe a kick to the ass was a tad bit low. Hell you remind me of a few soldiers I had in my platoon, I sent them home with a not so good discharge or to Leavenworth.
Now to the other part of stupid you wrote I have seen many weapons fire better after some lead build up in the barrel. I seen some shoot tighter groups the warmer the barrel got.
My air rifles shoot like shit, hell I could hit the ground with the barrel shoved in it, till I got about 50 or so shots in.

I typed most of this while on 4 different medications for getting hurt over in the big sand box, 3 of which are for Neuropathic pain and one is a muscle relaxer.
And the sad thing is I make more fucking sense then you do shaggy
