I have tuned a dozen crickets, I think the Edgun is still more simple. The only real improvement I would like to see on the Matador is the hammer. I would like to see the hammer changed to a straight line hammer so that it strikes the valve inline every time. I noticed a better ES when I changed my valve out to the 3mm one in the .30. So maybe the answer is to stiffen the valve if the hammer is to stay the same.
The simplest one is Cricket, but Matador is close to it.

What I saw in the video is a gun that could be again fun to shoot and a pleasure to own!

You are enough experienced to make a difference between facts and fiction and Keyser is enough experienced to make good airguns reviews and somewhere in the middle is the truth.
Personally I believe the R3M is a much better gun today that the one that I owned and every improvement is welcome, sadly it took so much time and drama.
It’s not a match grade trigger but I have never owned a match grade trigger on a bullpup. The trigger has been improved. There is a spring tensions ball at the end of the trigger so it is much smoother .
But not the trigger right? It is still a “hunting trigger” more than anything?
They are interchangeable but the new magazines interact with the new indexing arm better. Honestly Ed did not name it the R3.5; I did. Ed is not big on self promotion. When I asked him about the upgrade he was like … oh yeah that’s no big deal. I may sell EDguns but I will always be an airgun aficionado first. I think it is a big deal. If you watch Edgun .22 vs .25 part one you’ll see everything I complained about was addressed. I have repaired every bullpup, the EDgun is the most simple airgun available.

Is it just me , or is Pippo kinda being an Ass? Dude ease up . Any manufacturer that makes constant improvements , and is open to suggestions and input is kinda cool .I’ve never owned an EDgun but knowing Brian is there for support is a selling point not a bad thing .
