edgun .30 or bobcat .30?
i’m torn between the two…I realize that i have been on the fence for a while but, i mostly do big(ger) game (coyote). i currently have the fx boss and was wondering what the difference between the edgun and fx in the .30 caliber…. thanks fellow TAG members!!!

I have no idea what the design of the Wolverine looks like so no idea how to hard it is to swap out the barrel on one. I can you for sure is that I have owned a few Daystate and their build is not as solid as the Rapid. The barrels are not as thick and tends to flex when the gun is handled. From the look of the design, I do not want to take it apart unless my gun is really has a problem. Of course the Wolverine is much better built than any other guns Daystate has.

One can´t just open an account there like on all other Forums but there´s some kind of verification and approval involved , am i right ??

What the hell are thinking ?? What buy an FX Boss to mod. and. FX are never meant to be tuned or Modded. If it could, it would be very limted what you can do. If you are thinking to shoot .257 Hart barrel, You best bet either the Daystate Wolverine or the RAW HM1000x. Both of these guns will have extra air space, headroom, to shoot heavier cast pellets. to be honest, I would choose the RAW HM1000x over the Wolverine because it is regulated and much more shoot count.
Since I am promoting the HM1000x, I am going to put my money where my mouth is. I am ordering a new Raw HM1000x. If you kindly send me one of your .257 Hart barrel, I will let you know if it worked or not. Oh yah, send me some of your cast bullets too. hehehehe.

Slayer5, I think that the majority of Edgun Matador owners never have any problems with the gun.
They are just happy with the gun and they just shoot it as it was delivered.
The majority of Edgun owners don’t have a chrony and they are not drawn into the tuning business. If they get a chrony, they see that their shot strings don’t match up to the strings that us “anal” Matador owners post after doing a little tuning.
Tuning a Matador is easy and it is also fun! Ed makes his guns to be easily worked on!
If you can come up with a 30 cal Matador, the people here will be happy to walk you through any problems that you have with it.
I am also a shooter. It is nothing for me to shoot 7,500-10,000 pellets in a year in each of my Matadors! 10,000 pellets a year equals 28 pellets a day.
Each of my Matadors requires a day of tuning and shooting before I have them set the way I want them to be. After setting, all I have to do is shoot them!
Good luck with AOA! I have bought 3 air guns from them and I have had issues with all 3. My 22 cal FX Royale came set up to shoot JSB 16 grain pellets at 735 fps! I was amazed with the 5 shot group that AOA sent me and I was also amazed with how quiet the gun was! When I put 18.1 grain JSBs in the gun and shot it over my chrony. It was in the 600s. When I turned the gun up A LOT, the gun wasn’t nearly as quiet. The Royale also ended up shooting the shroud end cap and tube off of the gun after 200-300 shots!
I bought a BSA 25 cal Lonestar from them, it didn’t come with a mag, AOA had to send me one.
My Boss was also quiet as AOA shipped it set to shoot the 30 cal JSBs at 795 fps. Turning it up to 870 (the highest that it would shoot) made the gun a lot louder. AOA also neglected to send a magazine for the 30 cal Boss! I called them up and told them that I didn’t get a mag for the gun. They told me that a mag should have been sent with the gun. I had to agree with them but; I didn’t get one.
They sent me a mag. I had to wait a week for it and it was a 25 cal mag that was worthless for the 30 cal Boss! I had to wait another week for the 30 cal Boss mag to arrive.
I hope that I never have to buy another air gun from AOA!

well….thank you everyone for the remarks. I truly appreciate it. Boss is gone……Mr. Edgun .30 is on the way….I can’t wait to see the groups on this Edgun. This is my 3rd Edgun and I’m all gitty! I will keep you posted. Thanks again.

Sadly there´s no .30 cal Cricket and the .35 cal development has all but gone underground = no word on it. The rumor i heard was they´ll skip it in favor for a .30 cal but that may be old wife´s tale. Who knows.
I think those in a market for a .30 cal Bullpup are between a rock and a hard place. BTW – how´s them Evanix´s ?? Do they make a .30 cal BP worth buying ??

Coach Ville,you will need a list of your current medications, two photo IDs and a DNA sample. Their was talk of requiring a sperm sample as well but dry ice in the post is frowned upon. I know its a hassle but the entertainment value until your banned would be worth it. 😛 😛
