Edgun Leshiy .25cal super tune
Ive spent a bit of time on my new Leshiy this week and have refined it to my liking..
While the 350mm barrels and shroud extensions are available for higher velocities I wanted to keep mine compact and light as it was designed to be.. this comes with the compromise of the shorter 250mm barrel which produces lower velocities or less shot count.
This is the typical performance you can expect from a .25cal Leshiy with 25.4gr kings:
250mm barrel: 12-13 shots at 760fps
350mm barrel kit: 12-13 shots at 810fps
Thats not bad but I devised a plan to get a little more from mine without the long extension and also make it quieter than the std Leshiy…
25.4gr JSB kings get 18 shots at 800fps 36ftlbs!
Want more speed? 6 shots at 925fps 48lbs
Want more shots? 25 shots at 700fps
Want 12ftlbs? 39 shots at 460fps 11.9fps
Want a better trigger with a predictable break? … Yea me too… give me some more time on that one…
The same tune in a .22 or .177cal will be just as impressive..
All this performance in this short little setup..

Can you see any issues keeping the huma reg at 150? Aimed at speed? Or is it better to increase hammer tension?

Wingman, do you polish the choke area of the barrel or you just leave it alone?
As of the Huma reg – how can I remove it once installed? Is there any thread to put a stick in there?
One more question. I would like to have 830FPS with 350mm barrel and JSB King 25gr. What reg pressure would you start with? I have gen2 Leshiy with harder valve return spring.

This is a new mod to pick up another cc in plenum volume.. benifits the .25 cal most. All the Huma Leshiy regs will be like this now.
Hm… I don`t think mine have this holes. Why does it benefit .25 most? Is it possible to get this mod on mine that does not have the holes?
Quick question: how many clicks does the hst adjuster have from min to max?
And does it stop at min or max or is there a danger unwinding or breaking something?
Pushing pellets through them with a rod will show any tight or lose sections and I also test all barrels for accuracy on my Steyr as they dont need any machining to fit it for accuracy testing
How did you test the barrels with tight spots without fitting them to Leshiy?

They had a tight spot about half way down like a choke which made them shoot like crap. BSA confirmed a manufacturing fault.
Ordering Leshiy without a barrel meant I could get it sent directly from Russia.

Can I ask if you can elaborate more on the bafles etc you did after installing the 310mm barrel? How about the end cup? Custom made?

Yes, from memory mine was 16″ (375mm) long.. I ordered a few and had a couple of bad one that I sent back and they replaced them and paid the shipping both ways..
BSA barrels are 15.8mm dia and need to be machined down to 12mm to fit the Leshiy. Take it slow so not to get it hot.
Mine shoots one ragged hole at 50y and inside an inh at 100y.
Wingman, can I adapt BSA Scorpion barrel to 350 mm for Leshiy? I can see that the barrel has a transferport built-in and that part must be cut off. What is the diameter of BSA Scorpion barrel? What kind of groupings you were able to achieve with BSA barrel?

Finally getting to do some night work with the leshiy on indoor roosting pigeons.. This was my original intention for this little gun..
I dialed the .25 back to 600fps to prevent holes in the iron walls and roof and it gets 45 shots of flying rat carnage..
