EDgun Leshiy Scope Choices (pics)
I decided to start a new thread where users could post photos of their scope choices on the Leshiy. The gun is so compact it really begs to have a scope that is in line with ED’s concept of a forest walking gun.

I’ve tried 3 scopes and each of them was fine on Leshiy. Vortex Diamondback 2-8×32 with side paralax, size was fine, 8x is plenty for what Leshiy was created (it’s not FT gun). Next one has been SWFA 1-4 Tactical, up to 50m I don’t need more than 4x for my field shooting. And reticle is great, glass is awesome, turrets track perfectly, price is reasonable. Now I use Hawke 2-7 Airmax and it is a dream on Leshiy! Good glass, most awsome reticle (really, it’s light-years ahead of bugbuster), paralax is adjustable, eye-piece is big and clear. I just changed mounts to UTG Medium and it sits just above the LDC and looks perfect! Add bipod and you can hit targets at 75+ yards no problem. Resolution of this scope is awesome.
Now I’ll shoot more with Hawke but in the end I’ll put Hawke on Lelya and SWFA back on Leshiy. Why? Just because it’s much more fun to shoot! It’s not as good for target shooting as Hawke, but boy… it’s just so shootable! I shoulder the gun and the scope is just there. Yeah, my favorite Leshiy scope for ‘power plinking’ in the field.
Dream scope? 1-10 March, no doubt! One day…

The bug buster is hard to use because of the eye relief and the LOP on the rifle. The Leshiy has a 14.5 LOP to the trigger. The bug buster scope is so short you have to creep up on the air tube for proper eye relief
A friend of mine sent me a Picture of his scope today, looks pretty decent with a good ret, but it is 1-5 which is a little low for myself.
He says the glass is pretty good and it’s pretty cheap.
Will try get some pictures from him in hopefully 2-3 weeks once he receives his Leshiy.

I believe that Leapers/UTG Bug Buster is hard to beat as Leshiy scope.
Lets face the truth. There’s no affordable 1-8x or 1-10x scope that fits the design of the Leshiy. Some may look great in photos but you read the specs and if it’s an AR-type scope chances are the parallax is fixed at 100-200 yds. Even if you manage to find something that has a short distance parallax for airgun use you then discover the reticle sucks. Then you have a whole range of 1-4x or 1-6x scopes that’s closer to your airgun needs but the magnification isn’t suitable unless you’re shooting watermelons at distance.
In my opinion Parrot with his March 1-10x (if you’re an MOA fan) has the best choice (available today) but you’ll have to break out the piggy bank to get one. The reticle on March scopes aren’t known to be great but life is about compromises. Until Edgun offers a suitable solution that’s reasonable in price, features and has airgun friendly reticle Leshiy owners have a dilemma. They own a brand spanking new gun that can reach out to 50, 75 and even 100 yds that’s super compact but to shoot those distances, their scopes are an eyesore once paired up with this gun.
I’ll tell you I tried to get Ed to spec out a scope for this little gun for awhile. Because a gun like this has never been done before, there isn’t a scope ready for it. I know that I even surprised Ed at the range I shot the gun on video. Talking to Wingman about the speed, BC and stability of the 25 caliber at 750 FPS ( Wingman’s Steyr shoots that speed) I suspected the gun could do it. Now I need a short 10X scope. I think you guys are correct at the parallax. EDgun will eventually have a Leshiy scope, but in the meantime, it is very hard to find a scope that: parallax close has a good reticle for holdover, is the right size and weight.
*GASP* The Hawke 2-7X32 Airmax is so far the only scope that comes close… Guess I’ll stop whining and go shoot.
There’s no doubt that NF is a top tier scope manufacturer. Their premium scopes that are $1,500+ have a good reputation however for airgun use, these scopes might not be the best choices. If you do give them it a try, report back. It would sure “look” good on a Leshiy but sometimes function trumps form.

Piter, How did you get the SWFA scope, directly from SWFA? was it super expensive shipping and custom fees?
I have no experience with NX scopes but it should be fine. I really like my SWFA 1-4×24 and @4x it’s really OK for anything more than 25 yards and clearly usable (but not perfect) at 15 yards. However SWFA 1-4 Tactical Classic is also very easy to refocus to smaller distances – all you have to do is to unscrew objective collar/module about 1 turn (maybe 1.5) and fix it in place with snug-fit Butler Creek cover. Works great! It’s actually how front-end parralax adjustment works. This trick works on most scopes without any problem and it doesn’t affect waterproofness and/or nitrogen fill in any way.
No reason, one’s own opinion should offend anyone.
This little Nightforce does look cool, do you know the minimum distance it will provide a clear image. They don’t seem to be available anywhere in the UK.
I don’t mean to offend anyone’s scope choice, so I sat on my reply. I have owned March Scopes and personally I did not think they warrant the price they charge. If you are a company charging Swarovski money for a scope you’d better give me a Swaro scope quality
Yes exactly my thoughts.
With all the Nightforce i have tried, i have never been able to get a sharp image inside of 30-35YD, i was considering the Beast but went with S&B exactly for that reason. My Vortex Razor is the same, why i needed another.
Are these 2.5-10 and different, they do look neat. With the March i can get a crystal clear image at 10yd.
