Many Russians company works in China also. The key condition to have something made close to norm, to have your own person in China, to follow every movement of them. Based on the experience of our businessmen there is one conclusions, the China can make perfect goods at the first delivery (test delivery), when you are relaxed and satisfied, paid the next, bigger one, the quality goes down dramatically to the level you even cannot use the goods.
Me, personally, not against of taking ideas and use in own products, refreshing them or adapting them to your own needs, but what I see at the picture is pure, 100 %, stealing. On the other hand I am quite satisfied, that is the prove that EDgun is international brand, well known over the world, otherwise there weren’t need to copy it 🙂

For me its not as simple as china stuff is crap because I have delt with American company’s that have been forced to move production to china in order to stay in business. When the Kansas City plant was coming online, we tried to use as much American tooling as we could but they just couldn’t deliver within spec, budget, and timeline. We ended up with a lot of Japanies stuff and some china stuff. That was 15 years ago and I know the American manufacturing sector has recovered some, but in some ways its worse now than it s then. Its been rebuilt on an ocean of unskilled labor and lead by engineers that have been trained to think that robust systems and product integrity are are irisponsable. Its a methodology where its better to build a “one time use” throw away system, as long as its 10% cheaper.
But, if you are one of those people that thinks cheaper is better, then please watch this video. Then ask yourself if it was wise to haggle with the body shop guy when you were getting your car fixed. Lol. :rofl: personally, I’d rather just due without an air bag if its going to do that to me.

That’s what I wanted to say also, Chinese are very good in copying that is true, but I’d rather avoid their copies of things which can be potential dangerous. We are used to high pressure and don’t consider it as a dangerous thing anymore, though it is still dangerous. There is no miracles in this words, if copy costs four times less, that means the only one thing it cannot be as good as the original. If they use the same kind of tools, machines, quality workers etc, the price will be at the level close to the original. Yes, they can make it cheaper using other technologies, like stocks, for example, no doubt the plastic cost less then walnut, but price of the stock is not 3/4 of the prices of the gun 🙂
Making copy, so close to original (by views) even with the engraving means only one thing, they are monkeys who can only copy, not to develop, thus they will always be back side.
So, there are always people who want to get something cheap, as well as there are always people who wants quality. As I told before, I am focused on the second category…

When I translated it looks like maybe they are only selling kits like stocks (for Edgun) and grips (for Air Force). My Chinese is a little weak. :geekn:
For $500 I’m in !!! I don’t know if it’s plastic or not, but it’s definitely synthetic stock. Nothing wrong with that all all! Didn’t ed asked us if we would like a synthetic version? I rather pay $500 than $2000, that’s all I’m gonna say! Take my money now!

If you want quality sometimes it costs a little more. Supply and demand sometimes causes increase in price. If you think about it Ed’s price has stayed pretty stable for at least the last few years or so. This is a free market purchase as you please. You want a KIA I want Lamborghini.
