First, hijacking a thread is not the best way to air out a complaint. You should have started a new topic. I can only assume you picked this thread to begin your grievance because it has a lot of views. I think this is not a good practice and I know the owner of this forum would prefer that in the future you start a new topic.

Second, my experience with Ed has been different than you’re portraying here. I had a customer break a part of a brand new gun, and Ed Russian posted the replacement part to the gentleman that week. As most of you know I do not sell Edguns as my sole living; I chose to sell them because I genuinely believe in the brand and I like Ed.

So what can you do about this barrel? Have your dealer order a Matador barrel. There are no more Lelya replacement barrels because the gun was offered on a limited run only. The barrel will require some machining to fit, but that can be handled in Lebanon.

Now remember this topic is for discussing the R5 .30, please respect that for the sake of this forum

Be sure that im not following most viewing topic to post what i have, but i think you feel what i faced.
But it happens that was reading the topic when i decided to post what im facing.
Regarding the barrels im blaming both the dealer and ed for what is happening why should i pay for an R3 barrel and work it for a lelya does it seem logic ? ( i was offered to be done this way )
I paid for a working gun not a gun to be fixed when sold.
And thank you for sharing that the lelya barrels are no longer available, at least i know now that my gun belongs to the chimney for this winter what if the world doesnt have people like you and the people i know ??
And regarding parts, we wait forever here to get what we want and whom to blame ed or the dealer ?? I will tell you, that both are to be blamed as we dont know who is telling the truth and whom is not.
The dealer might be incompetent and so eduard is not taking good care of his customers at least for lebanon. when such things issues occured he should follow the things up, the reputation is on the edge and we all know airgun industry is now on its peak hunderd of players are in the field so if he really cares then he should listen more and take actions in any way.
I bet that you know people in lebanon we have profesionals enthusiasts that were taking care of the brand from A to Z but where are they now ?? Where are the days when we rushed to buy edguns because of the service and for the follow up… that was the golden days even when the retail price was crazy at 2875$.
I think we deserve to get better treatment my friend.
I didn’t want things to be this way but as a respect action for the good people i know, what was posted will be deleted and hope my message will have a listening ear.

.

Think that moving the bolt back is a very neat concept !!
Especially on the R5 .30 Supper Long the bolt can be move back even further, about a foot …….

Thank you for your polite answer. You could return the gun back to your dealer and receive your money. It is as simple as that.

No its not as simple as you think, and its not about the money, knowing that the dealer swapped the crappy. 25 to this lelya. All i need is just to shoot and enjoy my guns thats it.
So far i wont be gambling on a new one as I’m 100% sure that i will face the same problems.

I am not sure where you live but I have never had any problems with receiving additional barrels from Ed (I live in Europe).

Other thing is that my experience tells me it is impossible to make a crappy barrel shoot like a laser. You can improve a good barrel a little but a crappy barrel will always be like that and it is a waste of money to try to change it.

Last thing is why you write about that here in R5 thread. I cannot see any connection.

You’re right crappy barrels can’t be rectified but based on the facts that I’m still waiting for a new ( better one supposedly) since like 10 months, will push me to write on any topic hoping that someone will listen and try all ways to fix it better then throwing the gun to dust.

And if you want to know where i live ? Here it is… its were eduard is selling crappy guns… the place where there’s good people that i respect that asked me to keep things in low profile for the sake of the brand.

The people that believed in what called Edgun and fought for it, leaving no chances for competitors to take over.

I know now that i lost them, due to what i wrote and apologize to them…
But I tell you as well PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES.

Eagle eye, just put a fine sanding disk on an angle grinder and correct it, flatten the front to mirror finish. stationary tool and you spin/roll the barrer in hand. will do the job, you dont need a crown

or are you one of those who just bitch around with both hands in pocket. Seems like warranty is nonexistent though
:angrymob:

Kris, im no bagger nor crying on forums i only own edguns i trusted the brand but not anymore had the same problem earlier with a .25 & .22 Matadors and now the lelya, you think this is normal …? Let me tell you NO ITS NOT.
Waiting and hoping for a new barrel is NOT NORMAL EITHER.

Note that, the barrel was sent to a gunsmith specialist, (check the attached ) after the fix it looked flawless like a mirror…
It wasn’t about the EDGED crown or the bad cutting its about the whole interior and build of the barrel the grooves the cutting the everything…
Even after lapping/polishing/ recrowning/ fixing the choke and all the job performed on it, the barrel failed to do its job not to mention that it was fully tuned as well.
Tested tons of pellet’s batch, brands, sizes….but the result remained the same.
Thats the maximum that could be done.
I’m no amateur i know what is good, what is average, or what is a shit. I wasted money on shitty components assembled im what called edgun.
I think someone need to be responsible.
*Just Put yourself in my shoes and tell me what would you have done*

If you want to touch the highest accuracy possible you will end up with a custom barrel eventually. Of course the one you presented qualifies to be replaced.

For the first time shooting not bad, the gun shows potential.
Did you use selected pellets or did you shoot just out of the tin?
Perhaps you already told it, but Russian is not really my native language.
:winkn:

Regards, Robert.

I never use the selected pellets, I am just too lazy to select them, so I just open the tin and shoot them all.

I’m too lazy to sort pellets too it’s a real pain in the ass. And also when I get a flier I can just blame it on a bad pellet. Can’t do that if they’re all inspected, sized and weighed. :smilen:
