Edgun Review update

Hey fellers, just a little more info specific to the currently available magazines (.25 in my case). I received them in aluminum not plastic, today, and 3 will fit under the rail but not 4. See the attached photo as demonstrated with my gun (Dec. production). I’m pleased to report that receipt took less than 4 days post order from Tony R. Remaining Availability???

Now with 750 pellets down the pipe, I will note that the regulator has settled in nicely. Seems to be consistent through several full strings and typically an ES of 25 or under for 60 to 80 shots contingent of the velocity selected (long version). This is discounting an occasional velocity spike which can be attributed to pellet or continued break in. Couldn’t be more pleased with efficiency and shot count as this was the primary reason I purchased the long, despite the extra expenditure. That, and I just like having a long tube. 😉

quote Pippo:

Ah I see…. if the 3K pellets break-in cure did not work this still means the problem is the shooter and not the gun.

At this point in order to have some fun with the tool you need to buy exclusively JSB pellets and you need also some special training, I repeat for obvious reasons, this because the problem is the shooter and not the gun.

Probably the R3M matador is not meant for “normal” people, you might need to have some special skills that “average” people doesn’t have, or maybe you need to get first some kind of “Matador R3M shooter certification”.

But I have to admit this “saga” is entertaining with a lot of suspense…

After the “3K Break-in period” of Season 1 and the “Only JSB pellets and Shooting/Handling certification” of Season 2, what is coming next?

I remember the times when the HW100 was broken in at pellet number 2, apparently sadly those times are gone now but honestly not much suspense in those times…

Good speculation 🙂 If there is a problem which cannot be solved by owner and he is sure the problem is not in him, pellets, scope, weather etc, he can just send gun back to Tony to repair or test it. If the other gun producers has some different way of work? I would really appretiate if you give me fact when a shooter was unhappny with the accuracy of the gun and just based on that statement the seller did any steps.

Use JSB pellets, that is the first one. When you load them in the chambers be sure the skirt of the pellet is down the surface of the magazine. Index it with the same power every time.

Make sure when you load your magazine you spin it counter clockwise by hand until it indexes. This will insure the magazine is timed correctly. The only time my Edgun left pellets was when I didn’t load the magazine correctly or I didn’t pull the bolt all the way back.

Mine does the same thing too i have the r3m standard in 22 cal. What making it to skip?. And sometime its hard to load the pellet in the chamber. And is it normal to have a little gap between the receiver and the part to where the barrel attach.

Received my .25 standard Thursday 300 pellets down the tube , big deference in it and my royale 400 the edgun jumps when you shoot it but it’s settling down and I am learning how to hold it. Biggest problem is the clip, not loading pellets, I will shoot whole clip an it will be one or two pellets left in different places.

thanks for the update huntjunky. That’s a handsome gun. I can see there’s barely not enough room to store four magazines without a redesign. Maybe Ed is just saving a bit of time and money by not going for a separate piece to house four magazines?
