The “cant” you see is from the camera being mounted a bit crooked. It doesn’t affect trajectory in any way.
I suspect this one will be popular.

Yesterday, I received my new Hawke Sidewinder. It’s everything I expected (including the weight).
I’ve never felt more “set” than I do right now. My Matador + this Hawke is a lethal hunting rig.
The Hawke does a few things better than my Leapers Accushot. The glass is better. The reticle is
thinner. The mildots are true at 20x (I really like this), and there are 1/2 dots. And the AO
“locks” in better.

Here’s a 10-shot group @ 100 yards using 3.5 mildot holdover at 20X. If it weren’t for the light
and variable croswind, this group would have been insane. 🙂

Once again excellent work Ted, i always appreciated your videos, Hats off to you sir.
There is a very easy way to gauge the distance/time. My cameras capture 30 frames per second. If you watch the slow-motion segments, it takes about 24 frames for the pellet to reach the can – that is .8 seconds.
And if that isn’t enough – here is the mil-dot calculation:
Target size (in yards) x 1000 / Mils read = yards to target (for 10X magnification)
A standard can is 4.5 inches tall, which equals .125 of one yard, and looks to be take up about 1.1 to 1.2 mildots on the scope (at 16X magnification).
So, 0.125 yards X 1000 / 1.15 mildots X (16x/10x magnification) = 174 Yards 😎

The monster reticle on this scope allows me to use mil dots all the way out to 150 yards at 20X power. That’s 20x, not 10x, guys! This is exactly what I wanted, and the primary reason I bought this scope (besides the good glass, micro-slim reticle, and solid construction). Yes, it’s a heavy bugger at 26 ounces. But, I can live with that if I don’t have to adjust the turret knob. I’m a hunter and so is my gun. We don’t like “clicking” when we see a crow at 100+ yards.
Take a look at me plinking cans of beer at 30-150 yards without any turret adjustments.
