My first video is up. I plan to make more in the near future. Here are some topics of interest I intend to address:
Shroud contruction
Adjusting the spring tension for velocity
Trigger adjustment
Barrel cleaning
Range testing
Hunting small game
If you have a suggestion for a video, feel free to post it.

This is my Winter crawl space project. A .25 caliber, six barrel gatling PCP.

It’s basic frame is from a Poulan leaf blower. .25 caliber barrels scavanged from past projects. Drive gear for barrels from a Black and Decker orbital sander. The chain is from my old Schwinn, cut to 18″ length, endless loop. Gears powered by a 33.5cc Subaru four stroke Robin motor kit originally provided for converting bicycles to gas drive.
The big hangup is weight right now. It can only be fired from the hip and the cloth pellet feed belt tends to catch on fire. I’ve been thinking of going to a hopper feed and using lead .25 ball shot. Much cheaper when “Spraying and praying” at full auto. Further, it requires an 80 cu ft scuba tank and backpack for pellet propellent at 1200 fps. The solenoid for triggering propellent per shot is jury-rigged from an old Nikon camera shutter trigger mechanism originally intended for 250 pictures per second, which is my current maximum rate of fire.
Now, if Ted would come out of the DARPA closet, and provide some Lithium technology for a battery drive, then I believe I could get the weight down and obtain the results I need.
Chances are I’ll grow hair before that happens!

I think you might be on to something Hoot.

I think Ted is involved with DARPA, and quietly playing with advanced military technology, using Tube-Launched, Optically Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) pellets, similar to those systems on wire guided torpedoes, such as the U.S. M48 ADCAP, or the Swedish 613 TORPED, and shoulder fired, light anti-tank missiles. This is dated technology and readily available.
In the alternative, he has somehow incorporated “fire and forget” technology into the head of the “pellets” he uses, allowing them to home in on the last image programmed into their control center, via the “scope cam”, or in the alternative…using GPS coordinates of the target programed into the processor of the pellet, allowing its fins to adjust trajectory, on the fly, en-route to the target!!!
Further, he says he is using only a bi-pod and his shoulder to aim. That cross hair never quivers, never jerks, wobbles, or shakes. That’s not human. I believe he is using the same stabilized aiming technology, miniaturized, as equipped on the M1A1 Abrams tank cannon, and has somehow incorporated this into the Edgun stock.
Having carefully examined the photo he gave us to show him on the lake “at work”. I have but TWO thoughts:
1) His left leg is slightly larger than the right, Just enough to conceal a shaped lithium battery, to power his secret devices mentioned above.
2) No one has a television on a boat that small, especially without UHF reception capability! The mystery deepens.
3) NOT ONE comment posted on my first reaction to the presence of a television on Ted’s “jon boat”! Are the Mods in on this project as well???
It’s all starting to make sense to me now. A few more drinks and I shall have this evil scheme completely deciphered. My associate, Dr. Jack Daniels-Black, and I, require but a few more sessions to solve this mystery.
“Insane old man” you say??? “Ignorant hillbilly drunk”??? “Feeble-minded mountain recluse”??? While all these are true, you cannot deny one thing…..watch those videos again, and tell me you have ever seen any of this done before…..even by the evil genius :9:Mamcrackin!:9: A man who has been strangely silent about all this furor. He knows….oh yes, his twisted mind misses nothing!!!
Further, If “Assman” can figure out how to launch a solid fuel missile 35 miles off the coast of Los Angles, then nothing on this forum is impossible. I’m thankful his air burst, multiple detonation, sonic warhead, with sparklers, didn’t work. It quite possibly might have ignited a tactical nuclear exchange with the island of Catalina!!!
This forum has warped, strange, and sinister minds at work…and they never rest!
Hoot :18:
Nice!! 😎
Getting a slow mo of the pellet coming towards the cam’ maybe off set behind the target would be rather cool…..
You did it again… superb clip Ted, really a thinner reticle, pay more at long distance shots.
If you don´t mind i´m gonna try to duplicate your soting rig 😉
As you know, i´m still using the Leapersa 4x16x56. Very good scope, but… thicker reticle is´not as good as the Hawke version. 😆
Mac
Nice Ted… Reeealy Reeealy nice…
This one is very “nuts and bolts”. A simple scope cam showing before and after [cleaning] shooting footage.
It goes without saying that every gun/barrel is different. Mine likes a patch fairly often. Other guys can go thousands of pellets between cleanings. This is why I avoided stating how often one should clean.
That said, enjoy. 🙂

Ted for sure you are getting this video down pat to say the least! very nice I love watching your videos, That is so cool watching the air turbulance going down range then as the pellet gets closer to the shotgun shell you can really see it very plain! keep em coming slow motion of a Rat would be good 😯 And yes very nice shooting you have that Edgun lasered in for sure!!!
That’s really cool ted , thanks for the time. bad ass watching the pellets roll into the targets.!!
Really nice Ted… Amazing shooting and video…

YOU GOT A TELEVISION ON YOUR 18 FOOT JON BOAT!!!!!!!!!
How much do you have to pay that guy to hold your antenna?
Why didn’t you pay a few bucks more and get UHF for your setup? You’re missing a bunch of channels! Furthermore, I’d go another 10′ on that antenna mast so you could get above the tree line.
Respectfully,

Hoot, a little about me? Okay.

Ted, what do you do for a living?
Obviously you are meticulous and detailed. Chances are good you cleared high school, by Arkansas standards anyway…so fill us in.
We need to know a bit about someone who’s giving us all this advice.

Secrets? Yes.
Secrets about airguns? No.
I use a bipod and [sometimes] a bag. My bag is the same crappy one I bought when I was 16, and has served many uses over the years – primarily a mouse toilet. It’s filled with “free” gravel from an inside curve of the Chippewa River.
Hoot, you grew up long before typing class was standard in high schools. With your one eye and lack of training, that message must have taken you longer to type than it took me to make the video.
