evanix sniper owners??
My buddy really likes the evanix sniper and I dont want him to buy a bad gun. There is very mixed reviews about this gun. Is it worth the money or should he get a different gun? He likes the fx t12 400 also.

I am completely unimpressed with my .357 sniper, had a valve self destruct after only a hundred to so shots, accuracy past 25 yards has been rather poor, trigger is good though
you have to take the stock part to adjust the power, ginormous pain in the ass 👿
for the money it isn’t worth it. Picked up a Dragon Claw 50 for less than half the money and am quite pleased with it – except the trigger – took a hell of a lot of massaging to get it useable.
Evanix Sniper:
Having owned a few Evanix rifles, my experience is with them is mixed. Their manual action side lever rifles are all pretty solid and trouble free. I can’t say the same for their semi-auto rifles as I ended up having to return all of them because they kept jamming up.
In any case, you shouldn’t worry about your friend getting a bad Evanix Sniper as long as he buys it from a reputable dealer. Should he decide to go with the Evanix Sniper, I suggest he buy it from Pyramid Air as they have a no hassle return policy. With Pyramid, should he receive a faulty rifle, he has the following options:
1. Have it fixed under warranty (free)
2. Swap it out for another new Evanix Sniper (free)
3. Return it for a full refund (free)
Also, Pyramid provides free shipping on returns.
FX T12:
Regarding the FX T12, It is a great gun with a solid reputation. It’s probably the better choice for a first time buyer of a PCP air gun. The Sniper is heavier and much louder and certainly not a back yard friendly gun like the T12. The only potential drawback of the FX is that your buddy is stuck with it whether he likes it or not. The reason for this is because non of the FX dealers I know take returns. This is something to keep in mind when making such an expensive purchase. I had a .30 FX Bobcat and had a bunch of problems with it initially and really was fed up and wanted to return it but I couldn’t. Eventually, all the bugs got worked out and it ended up being the most accurate and reliable gun I have ever owned.

Thank you guys for your help! He is getting it in .25 and he loves the way it looks. Unless you guys have a good priced sniper looking .25 I dont think much is going to change his mind now. He is prettybdead set.
