Q:

Extreme Benchrest 2014

Anyone see any results yet? I was looking at Alvaro’s Facebook posts and it looked like an upset with the old guys sliding a bit on preliminary scores. :biggrinn:

Two of Álvaro’s posts from yesterday. (translated from Spanish)
“News of the last hour that did not win because I only got 227 items and SR. Chris Warwick did 235 so that I do not have the possibility that what if I never imagined that Ted, just do 216 points so that you already know”

“A friend already, the result of the bench rest won Tim McMurray hit fighting place, Chris Warwick 2, 3, a place I do not remember me and 4to. So there you are the results it will be official tomorrow I think”

My Wnigy Brother. ..

Your group at 100M is really amazing. ..it is just an awesome group. ..

The matter of pellet head size is killing me. . I could find out the size that my edgun likes…it likes 5.47-5.49mm … but I couldn’t persuade JSB company to sell me desired pellets. . They rejected to ship pellets to my oily country. .. so…finally I bought from a company in Slovenia. .. all pellets I bought have 5.52mm head… I contacted a company in UK who they make pellet sizer. ..again didn’t get any reply from them. ..

All my groups achieved with all pellets that my edgun doesn’t like them 🙁

quote SECoda:

Does that qualify as “Good Head”? :suprisedn:

Almost better 🙂

Sorry to hear that Ted, I am very interested to see your .257 Eddy in action.. I hope you are sleeping a little better now?

Well done Robert, those are some good consistent scores at every meet.
The .223s will be considered as cast bullets which as Ted has said are still not allowed at the “not so extreme” 75 yard BR.
I Had read somewhere that it was made 75 yards for the FX smooth twist guns because the accuracy falls apart out past that range? Im not sure what truth is in that but I have no intention of owning one to find out either.

Hemn; that EXTREME! 🙂
My best group at 100 meters was done on a windless summer day with my early steel breech model Matador R3 single shot only days after I bought it. after finding the pellet head size it liked I shot loads of groups with this one being the best..

This is the norm at 50m on a good still day

Nice shooting Robert!

Nice groops, Hemn!

Our 100 meter competition just ended.
I turned out on the 6th place and happy with it!

The last match we had a digital counting system,
shooting at a 30 mm black hole was a new thing for me.

The .223 cal. Drummen Sinners are VERY accurate.
John’s score is bizar.
I am amazed that this cal is not used at the ebr.

There is not much FX in the list,
but I heart some rumours that it will change.
I am very curious about their performance at the 100 meter!

Regards, Robert.

Thanks dears Ville and Zonk,,,

i have all my groups posted here in my thread http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=27845&start=240 just check out pages quickly to see the groups ,,,,

last year spring,,, before getting my Edgun ,,one day early morning ,,,zero wind blowing ,,,, clear and nice day,,,, i fired two shots each one after one for two birds (same dove size) they were on two different trees at 110 meters beside each other ,,,, i used my Benjamin Marauder,,, i killed both of them ,,, when i went to bring them ,,, i checked out the bird body ,,,i realized that both of them kill with head shot … LOL … :ugeekn:

that was my best kill till now …. head shot at 110 M

Now that’s a nice gun.

The Mac1 BR Hunter is cool too.

LOL…..I bet he got the last word in then. What does his rifle look Coda?

Tim’s USFT Lone Ranger 30s seem to be the cat’s meow on accuracy (actually they were always very good). I guess they run in that $2600 range like the rest of his USFT offerings. Might be good for the bench rests on the back covered deck. 🙂 Besides that they look cool. If I remember correctly Tim wasn’t just banned from the Yellow – he was blasted from it. I guess this is a bitter-sweet victory considering this is a big event for some of the Yellow members.

Very Nice Hemn. Now that’s a group!

Superb shooting at 65 M, Hemn. Really nice !

quote Sir Ville:

75 yards !? What´s so extreme about that ?? :suprisedn:

The Swedish BR Champs was done at 100 meters = 110 or so yards in the Unlimited Class. 75 yards = 68 meters . It´s ridiculous to call that anything Extreme.

I do agree with you Ville,,, 100 meters is an extreme range for airguns ,,,

if i am not mistaken i have a tinny groups at 65 meters ,,, only 3 meters less that that extreme range ,,, ,,, ,,, ,,,
