Q:

Favorite Air Rifle from Past

Can you ever remember a favorite rifle that maybe was your first air gun? My very first BB gun was a BB gun, A Daisy. The end muzzle unscrewed and you carefully filled it with BB’s as to not spill em all over.
Then as I got older my Dad let me run off with his all brass Benjamin .22 cal. I even kept a German Shepard from biting me once with that rifle.

But there was one little powerless rifle that I really remember. The Crosman AIR 17. I managed to find one on line just about like Brand new with Box and manual. Then I found another one and the guy asked if I wanted it. So I bought it and sure enough it was too rusty and grime filled for my likings.
So this is what I did. I bought a 781 and look…

This was a blast. They fit perfect. The 781 was always that AIR 17 anyway and they still make it to the same specs 25 years later. The 781 had rivot ports for the AIR 17 stocks. My 7 year old Grandson loves it. This will be his first single pump I think.

But I still search for these things. 😉

I kind of thought it was a bird. But wasn’t sure. So…they all just didn’t fall out of the trees and sky eh 😯

They are these nasty blackbird we have here in Illinois. They are kind of blackish/gray

Whats a Grackle?
I shot my 205th ground squirrel today at my friends farm with my Savage HMR. man theres just not many left to shoot! The Shoot and release program just doesn’t work! 😆

I used a Primos Squirrel Buster call after he saw me and ran in. I used it to chatter and man within 5 seconds he comes out confused and looking for what he couldn’t understand.
He caught that chunk of lead!

It has still gotta be my old Benji 342. first “real” pellet gun I ever bought. saved my money all $110 for it. Bagged 5 Grackles with it on the first day with the open sights. It doesn’t shoot fast, but it shoots straight and hits like a sledgehammer. 😉

Shaggy I remember that gun I never got to use one but I remember it I think it was a Crosman, neat gun, one I had was a Daisy I think co2 rifle plastic stock with a cut out in it and it was a 5 shot semi bb gun. My 1st gun was a Red Rider too I was like a 3rd grader 1963 or 4.

Shaggy,

What I notice the most is the size of the gravel I used to be able to wash up compared to now. 😛

Shaggy,

That was not an airgun, you were 12 and that was you dick sliding back in your foreskin, your just too damn old to remember. 😆 😆

😀 😀 😀 Heck since the early 90’s a shed has grown over it and I don;t even know if it’s still there or notLOLOL. 😯 😯

Gnaw…I would remember that. Because mine is more like a Nazi Helmet. So I can’t really peal it back much. Unlike the uncircumcised fruit pickers of this region. 😆

Hum…no Idea what it was on my end. 🙄
Have a picture? Or what was it? Someone here might know it’s name and model or even have one.
Better check Fleabay 😆

My oldest favorite BB Gun was one that the barrel slid back inside the frame to cock it.
I don’t know the name of it but for it’s time it was a hard shooter.
That was back in the early 60’s
I’d Love to see one working good and in good shape with a reasonable price on it.
They made the Daisy red ryder type and the pump type but this gun mentioned came out one year as I can remember, well I recon they quit making them cause they were too good. 😀

Mines the Sharp ace .22 and sharp innova .22 both tweaked, and a titan MC010 tweaked to 28ft lbs in .22.

Crosman 760!!!!!

BSA 240 Pistol…. Still have it someplace.

BSA Meteor.

Still got it!
