Favorite Air Rifle from Past
Can you ever remember a favorite rifle that maybe was your first air gun? My very first BB gun was a BB gun, A Daisy. The end muzzle unscrewed and you carefully filled it with BB’s as to not spill em all over.
Then as I got older my Dad let me run off with his all brass Benjamin .22 cal. I even kept a German Shepard from biting me once with that rifle.
But there was one little powerless rifle that I really remember. The Crosman AIR 17. I managed to find one on line just about like Brand new with Box and manual. Then I found another one and the guy asked if I wanted it. So I bought it and sure enough it was too rusty and grime filled for my likings.
So this is what I did. I bought a 781 and look…

This was a blast. They fit perfect. The 781 was always that AIR 17 anyway and they still make it to the same specs 25 years later. The 781 had rivot ports for the AIR 17 stocks. My 7 year old Grandson loves it. This will be his first single pump I think.
But I still search for these things. 😉

Yeah.. Things like my Talon and that Condor I will end up with are favorites for sure.
But there is something about that Weak little AIR17 that makes me want to just keep it.

That Springer looks cool! How many FPS does that one do?
My old Norica56 that I got in the 80’s. In it’s day it was a pesting machine.
I’ve gotta go with my FWB-124D. I’ve taken more prey, from feral cats to Jacks, with that baby than all my airguns combined.
Now the old girl is only used for the occasional HOSP. 
I have had many. But none were my favorite. My all time favorite airgun are my Mac1 LD’s.
The Talon SS and AA Air Arms 410 are keepers.
The Air 17 my first Airgun… I had so much fun with that thing.
