Q:

First Stubby Shot String – Condor Hi-Flo Valve 14.3 450 ft

I wanted to see how many shots and how consistent they were with the Condor’s tank. 14.3 gr. 12″ barrel as a baseline for the new valve. I stopped shooting when the velocity started to drop. its a little hard to see. Basically I get about 80 shots (60 on graph) on a 2700 psi fill with a 50 fps spread startimg at 845 and peaking at 905.

We will be testing more valves at both altitudes.

Well we are finding the variation to do elevation is so significant for these guns that the testing needs be done near my elevation (450 above SL) to be consistent which is why I mentioned it. The consistency and power level just with the hi-flo valve at low elevations is very impressive. This gun was also tested at 6000 ft with the same setup and while velocities start 150 fps or more higher, the consistency is very poor and there are only about 25 shots in the 50 fps spread limit and the velocity starts very high but falls off quickly. What this shows is a regulator might be desireable the higher you live.

How far is that off a Talon tank with 12″ 22 barrel. Does anyone have those numbers?
