Yes.
Btw, thanks for the info on the mag donny.

I would say it looks better loaded like a baked potato but I’d be lying. ๐Ÿ˜›

Right on ! But you may hurt the feelings of those innocent Whales. Not very nice !

I wasn’t going to post this but Sir Ville has tempted me just too far. I am right there with you. I find it best not to look. I see some comments on the new magnetic trigger having some play they don’t like. Is that adjustable out of it?

The barebones numbers. When compared to the standard Cricket or standard Matador I just don’t know. Work with me on this one. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ A bit heavier than I expected too. Ok on the .22 leaving the fugly out of it. Too close to the Airforce guns with that barrel to scope distance and trirail. A good level is required. I guess they are futuristic? ๐Ÿ™‚

.22, $1795, OAL 29.5”, Barrel 18.5”, Weight 7.8 lbs, FPE 30, regulator optional.

.25, $1849, OAL 37”, Barrel 24”, Weight 8 lbs, FPE 46, regulator optional.

.30, $2095, OAL 37”, Barrel 24”, Weight 8 lbs, FPE 75, regulator standard.

The more i look at it the uglier it gets. Like i said itยดs big, bulky and ugly. I also pointed out the fact Ted is having some concerns over and thatยดs the plastic “Weaver” rail under the forestock. IMO all the specifics that makes a BP a BP is lost with that heavy, big, bulky attempt to make a BP. Have i mentioned that i think itยดs UGLY !! :horse:

Keep us posted!

Thanks

Gabe

once we see some shot strings .. and hear a .30 i think we’ll get a better understanding… im getting mine monday… man now im kicking myself for cheapin out on the 2 day delivery. Its nice that they got away from that stupid pickle on the end and went with a full shroud. i like it … keep checking ups hopeing it got bumped early but no luck

Here’s is pic of my ex-Indy rifle with shroud removed. The barrel is 19.5 inches. The air stripper is attached to the muzzle about an inch or so. From this pic, you can see and visualize the Indy bp barrel where it would end. There seem like there is not much space after the muzzle when I compare my former indy with the new bp indy. Someone, prove me right or wrong. Unfortunately, I get most of my trigger time shooting in my backyard and I need my guns to be silent or close to silent. I’d rather avoid explaining to my neighbors what I am doing because they will not get it. At least the one who accused me of shooting his chickens when it was a hawk who prey on them. Fuck him. I feel for Hoot with his neighbor dilemma. That is what I think drives us to be hush-hush.

Having owned an Indy, I really want a .30 indy bp. I would then have a .22, .25, and a .30 all from different makers. Man, I really need to move to the hills.

Gabe

After looking at the Indy closer, the pressure guage doesn’t need to be moved. It is located directly under the breech block. My bad.

I had a .22 cal Indy (rifle)and when I removed the shroud the barrel muzzle end was n inch or two short of the pump tube end. With the current Indy bp shroud, there just doesn’t seem like there is enough volume past the muzzle to compare with the rifle (noise).

I also think that it was designed with a short shroud not only to make it shorter (at the cost of noise reduction), but for owners to use a mod of their choice.

I’m not trying to knock the fx’s. I am seriously considering an Indy, especially a .30 cal. These are just my observations. Removing ass would cut at least 3 inches. However, the trigger and scope rail would probably need to be moved forward. Aesthetically, it would be more pleasing to my eyes.

They should have moved the trigger system forward, accommodated the pressure gauge somewhere else, a longer picatinnay rail like the Edguns, and lopped off 3-4 inches from the butt. That would bring the total length down to 33 or so inches. This is with the 18 inch barrel with the shroud extension.

Food for thought:
The 24 inch barreled guns may be a different story. I bet the .30/.25 cal Indy/bobcat have little to no air blast expansion space ahead of the muzzle. To make it relatively quiet, an expansion shroud would be a must ala ted’s Indy. That would make the already longish Indy/bc a whole lot longer. Now this is only an assumption since I don’t have one.

Gabe

I agree wholeheartedly. 29″ or less is really my preference. I will go another 3-4″ for the .30 cal but that is it. Just too big and heavy for a bullpup. Its sounds like the Cricket is the only option and that even is an unknown. Any word on the Wild West Crickets?

quote donnyfl:

Everyone has a different preference on gun length and weight. For those who currently have the Royals and wanted the same power in a shorter version, I think that was accomplished by FX for that market. I personally am glad I didn’t put down a deposit on the .25 cal. The 33 inch Cricket was longer than what I wanted so I will be very happy with the .25 cal matador in 29 inch. That’s why we have options people ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the three bullpups as long as it fits your needs.
