Q:

FX Impact and problems, Not me

There seems to be a few good ones out there, and I am talking a few,
I think the FX Impact was a rushed design, or just a bad design, Seems like there is a large amount of these guns that have got major problems.
I know , I know Ted did this and that with his Impact, But Yea, I would buy Teds gun for the same price, A one off, blue printed Impact,
Now people will say there are some good designs out there,
But, Me I would not buy a FX anything,
Just to many better guns ( I think) In the lower and even same price range,
I will also be posting this on AGN and see how long it last,

I think user reports vs company employees performance in BR matches is proof enough as to what’s going on.
Do do have proof to back up your claim that off the shelf guns are being used at ebr?

User reports vs. company employee performance. User’s… you mean the guys that do this as a hobby, in their spare time, when they’re not working, right? Company employees… the guys that shoot almost everyday of their working lives as part of their job (~261 days a year). Yeah, I could see them performing better at competition.

Yes I do have proof. And, I’m keeping it to myself until I hear the undeniable proof from Iride about his claim. But, that’s not happening, is it? hmmm….
You (lead) at least gave me some kind of 3rd or 4th hand “stories” from people claiming whatever they want. What’s missing is the story to back up this “blueprinted” gun claim. Iride’s been on here and he’s made posts as recent as today but for some reason he still has not backed up this statement with the proof I’ve asked for. What’s the hold up? I see you trying to turn this back at me but, you’re not calling him out?

Still waiting…

Well I just want to give some thoughts and certainly I’m not and don’t want to be part of the “confrontation”…

I would be very surprised if competitions were made with off the shelf guns.

Sometimes it’s just a tune and sometimes it involves as well complete parts replacement.

For example the person that won already several times competitions in the Netherlands with a Matador actually has replaced the original barrel (with a BSA I believe).

When I say “when the project will be ripe” what I mean actually is when the guns will have worked out all the intial flaws and when the QC will make sure that all the production is at the same level.

At that point certainly the Impact will be an outstanding concept and product.

Well I’m not an FX fanboy but I believe once the Impact project will be ripe it will be one of the best and most versatile pcps on the market.

Multi caliber, fully user adjustable/tunable from externally for best caliber/pellet specific setup, lot of air, etc.

You know, with some brands you fall in love, with others you don’t, it’s really a personal thing.

I’ve owned only one FX and didn’t fall in love with the brand but the gun was well built and shooting great and I consider myself one of those users having enough experience to be able to judge by themseleves if a gun is good or not.

Lead – If I’m picking up the statement you’re referring to correctly. That guy said “I was told…” So you’re believing a story from someone that was told a story by someone else who could have been told a story by someone that had no idea what they were talking about. “Told” by whom?
Haven’t you ever played the game “telephone”? The more the story gets passed around, the more facts are lost.

I’m still waiting on the proof…
Iride – do you have anything to back up your statement?

Yeah maybe but when you hear it over and over for years on end from different guy’s that should be winning instead of some YouTube guru then it kinda looks suspect.

Kinda like people claiming for thirty years that Cosby was a rapist, or Whitney Houston smoked crack….

Cricket’s Impact is a different topic. It has nothing to do with the claim that a blueprinted gun was supposedly tailored for Ted to use in competition.

Lead – People can claim anything they want. Sometimes to make themselves feel better, sometimes because they are sore losers, sometimes because they misinterpret part of a conversation that they overheard and that they’re not a part of, and sometimes… just to start rumors.
Doesn’t prove a thing to anyone except someone who is looking for an excuse, or is gullible enough to believe the hype without any real proof.

I’m still waiting on the proof behind the “blueprint statement” that was presented as fact.

Bent, Cricket isn’t a big fun of FX but he still bought an Impact!

You can smell whatever the hell you want. It makes no difference “fanboy” or not. Where’s the proof behind this statement?

So, why don’t you stop trying to change the subject? Put your money where your mouth is and prove it! I’m not trying to discredit anyone. But, statements like this need to be backed up with hard factual proof. That’s what I’m asking for.

Before signing up, I kept seeing posts about how this is the place for facts, and this is the place where you can speak your mind and ask what you want, and this is the place to read the unbiased truth. So, lets have the proof! A “blueprinted rifle” uh-huh, sure. I call bullshit and I’ve been made to understand that I can do that here. No?

Multiple BR shooters not affiliated with fx have claimed the top shooters at ebr have been with hand select guns. These claims have been made for as long as I can remember. Many have claimed of cheating as well.

Prove it.

No probs at all with my impact, only a couple of weeks old,ab 900 pellets through it,working great,no probs with the finish at all,,my only complaint is that the mags are to shallow to accept barracuda match, and even superdomes (25cal)nbut later this week will have the inside of the mag cover milled ,and then it will accept the barras ,my pellet of choice, apart from that i could not be happier!!!
Rgds steve

If the people at FX stopped rushing and gave the design some love, it could be great. If I could design a Impact I would ditch the caliber switching feature and do what most bullpups do,have Four barrel screws Holding the barrel in place. I love the CF bottle system because I have a spare Bottle I can put in my backpack and double my shot count.
