Getting a new bullpup, Can’t decide!
So I am getting a new .22 bullpup and the candidates are Cricket and Vulcan. It seems to me that the Cricket is more accurate? And also quiet, but if I can get a hold of a Donny LDC then the Vulcan should be quiet too. So what do I do? I pm Donny but he has not replied yet, the thing is I live in Sweden so I’m not sure he will ship it or not.
What I want is:
* Quiet as in backyard friendly
* Accurate
That’s about it :rofl:

Trick in doing the hand shake mag load is not to hold the mags to deeply in your hand and don’t over fill it with to much pellets at one time, and a more side to side slashing around is a bit better still than an up and down jiggling …… Greg

Top filling my 75 cubic CF tank 1-3 times a week with my Omega SC.
If you’ve noticed I’ve collected only pups that have non-spring loaded mags systems just for that reason alone.
By shake loading them it’s so fast and easy, a spring loaded mag for me will take the joy out of my shooting days ……… and gets real old really fast.

If I get real lazy I use my speed loader, it does all 6 mags in about 20 seconds.

I only have 25 yards out back to shoot in, but the best shooting lane is 22-23 yards comfortably. We use what we got, and i shoot at least 4 times a week. Living in SoCal in the high desert is weather isn’t much of an issue. Getting out and finding places to shoot legally and not be disturbs on the other hand can be.
I steal them ! Kind of : I wait by the Estonian bridge and when it falls with all those EdGun halfway thru i pay for a couple of Estonian Divers to salvage the EG´s. Then i sell them at the local market, for half the price , and buy Crickets for the Money.
I am buying it through sir ville, no idea where he gets it from, but I think it will be quiet enough shooting the 16gr pellets.
And anyways, I only have 25m in my yard and when the .22 gets here I’ll want to try out some longer distances, so maybe shooting in the yard will be history 🙂

I too have been going thru what bullpup or carbine to pick up, i’ve already have a Cricket .22 and i believe its still needs some fine tuning. Don’t get me wrong it is good and i just excepted it for quite some time, but i know it can be better so will try to fine tune the hammer spring and or change pellets to 15.89 from 18.10. I want a .25 Cal and don’t want two identical guns, narrowed it down between Impact, Vulcan Rifle, Wildcat, and the Bobcat. I’ve already made a list of pros and cons and just about dropped the Impact and wildcat off the list entirely and leaning towards the Bobcat MKII because of it proven history. As numerous people have already pointed out guns at this price point accuracy shouldn’t even been an issue they are all assumed accurate, so its about the magazines, shot count, power adjustments, weight, appearance, cocking mechanism, and cost. If you don’t have a .22 Cricket I would definite recommend it and if you are buying it thru Ernest i’m sure you could arrange that it ships to you will a full size LDC already attached. Both Donny and Neil have barrel shroud replacements that look like the gun doesn’t have a aftermarket LDC.

Good point, I’ll just make sure Ville tightens the screws correctly before sending me the gun and if I ever have to disassemble it to that level I’ll buy the torque wrench.

Torque wrench is really suitable but if you not willing to buy it try buy T-handle key. Do not consider it as good replace for torque wrench….

You stated your going to be shooting at 25 yards most of the time. At that distance I prefer my .177 over the .22. A .177 will be quieter and will use less air plus pellets are a little cheaper. If you can find a Cricket Standard or Compact .177 in excellent shape that is what I recommend for 25 yard shooting.
The Vulcan Rifle in .177 or .22 is what I would look at if I was buying new. State of the art and the new guy on the block. The Vulcan rifle is supposedly quiet out of the box and has options from the dealer to be made quieter for $40 and even more so for $80.
If you have bigger hands with fatter fingers or need glasses get a .22. If not a .177 is a better choice for 25 yard shooting IMO.
