Q:

Getting rid of cats

Our neighbors behind us have a male cat that keeps coming over meowing, spraying our bushes, chasing squirrels away, etc. and it is driving me crazy. I would like to do something to this cat to keep it from coming back in our yard, but don’t know what I should do to keep him away. Any suggestions on a way I could humanely keep this cat away?
Thanks,
Tyler

Txwatcher…..on a more serious note the sure fire way to get rid of that cat permanently is to put out a little bowl of automotive anti-freeze. It will kill the cat by way of subterfuge. A couple sips of that and he will be deader than a doornail.. and no one will be none the wiser. It is a silent, however painful death for the animal. If the people actually treated their fucking cat as a true pet…which they don’t….. you wouldn’t have to resort to this method. I say…..fuck your neighbors and their cat.

Sheezus Lama……. you need to quit “Super Soaking” Playboy magazines. 😛 😆 Cure that Kat with a Kodiak. It’s always worked for me.

BB gun is fun and cheap. Course like Rob mentioned chemical warfare is another avenue. 😉

That’s one thing I’d suggest is finding the most powerful super soaker you can. That way you don’t have to worry about possible penetration from airsoft, and resulting infection. Plus, it’d be funnier. 😛

For real fun, spray the cat itself with the stuff… If you can get it in a non aerosol form (I dont know if it comes that way) just put it in a super soaker with some water and blast the cat next time you see it….haha

Now that sounds like an idea to try. That cat will probably go crazy with that stuff on it 😈

If the cat prefers a particular area to piss, then the solution is easy. There is a product sold at places like Petco and PetSmart called ‘Cat away’ I dont know what’s in it, but cats HATE it. Spray that area once a day and the cat will learn to DESPISE that area and will not come around it.

I used it behind of the entertainment center where my cats used to like to climb and F up my cables and such… after one week of using it, they wouldnt go near the entertainment center. Even though I’ve not sprayed the area in about a year, they still dont go behind it.

Just buy a 50lb bag of cat food and set it out for him.
Before too long, no more squirrel chasing!

Hmm, not only would he eat the cat, I might could set out some corn for the squirrels and have him hidden nearby 😈

It would give him a good sting and send him running. Just stay away from his face with it. Do it from inside the house through an open window or door where the cat won’t know where it came from and won’t link your presents to it.

Unfortunately, shooting the cat is not an option because my neighbor knows I have an air rifle and if his cat disappeared he would be very upset. How well would an airsoft gun work?

I would consider a well placed head shot as humane, but if you want to keep the cat alive but out of your yard, try an airsoft gun.
