Q:

Gold washer

Anyone know what this gold washer is for? Took my gun apart to add a depinger into the air tube. As I was picking up stuff off the floor I saw it on the ground. Not sure if it is part of the gun or something else. BTW I shat myself degassing this thing. First puff of air was terrifying at 150 bars.

Vill and Wanta, thanks for the response. During the meantime, I am going to violate my breech with some Moly paste 🙂

May very well be … My R3 had the steel breech and there was no such thing.

Dude, if that wasn’t in place right, it could cause the “above average noise you were maybe having” I’m just about sure that is where it should go. I’m tearing one back down, so give me a min and I’ll try to post a pic of what it looks like on mine.

Here is another picture so you can get an idea of size.

What is being used as the sealing device between the breach and the valve body? I have a brass or copper washer instead of an oring there. I can’t tell if its the right size or not. Mine didn’t come off the body because its kind of inbeded it he soft aluminum now. I not much care for the reusable sealing washer. I’ve Sean them leak on brake systems under much less pressure than an edgun. I understand that the system never actually sees the 1500psi or so being released by the valve but its still very high pressure compared to most everything else. I just don’t like it. I’ve had mine apart 4 times replacing break Oring and adjusting the regulator and I’m afraid its going to leak every time I put it crack together. T be fair, I don’t think it has actually happened yet.

Edit, after looking at your pic again, I’m 99 % sure that goes between the reg body and the underside of the barrel/breach thingy. It seals the air from the valve passage, up to the barrel. What is in that location now?

I have no recollection of that being a part of my R3, oldest modell. Looks like a spacer though so check the stock, that new rear bolt. It looks too small in diam por anything inside the airtube. Don´t know how the newest reg is build but looks too small even for a reg spacer if the reg size is unchanged.

PM Ed or Ernest !
