Fenix TK11 R2 Edition.
It should out throw my old 9P by 50 yards or so, though I don’t expect it to actually be usable at 200 meters as advertised. This light will give about 2.5 hours of runtime even on turbo mode. There is also a normal mode at 64 lumens with a runtime of 12 hours on 18650s. I picked up a Fenix red filter for $6 and a Fenix pressure switch is available for $20.
I will report back with what I think of it comparable to the ol’ 9P as a gun mounted light. Looks like a winner so far at the price point and features.

Beamshots maw?
I got an ultra fire ssc p7, 900 lumen and it fit in 1 in. scope ring, it has a wide pattern though, I think I like it better that way, in case of a run away.
soon after I ordered the same flashlight. As soon as it is available I will have the TK40

The TK11 R2 is bright, not a disappointment. Yet, not as bright as I’d hoped it’d be. Next time I’ll have to jump more lumens;)
If in a pitch black environment and shinning down the side of a hill, I could see the 200 yard throw claim being pretty accurate. If using nice optics it would be enough light to make a shot.
To my eyes, it only looks like about a 25% increase in output going from the 9P at 105 lumens to the TK11 R2 at 240 lumens.
I can’t get images that capture the lights output so I’m not even going to bother. Like any bright light it’ll cast a light saber beam into they sky so don’t try getting any airplanes to land in your street.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a pretty bright small light that will work in a 1″ ring mount, the Fenix TK11 or TK11 R2 is a nice option at $75 to $85.
Airtight_python when I got my TK10 the high mode was also tight. So I took the head off and I noticed the copper head had a thin film from what ever they use to coat the boards. So I took a pencil eraser and rubbed the coating away then high mode worked fine.

Just got here today but I’m going to have to wait until dark to be intrigued.
First impressions are that it’s plenty small to mount on a rifle. Similar to a 6P, head diameter being only a few tenths larger. Weight is about the same as my 9P but it’s built like a tank and that’s a good thing.
I like the forward clicky switch as opposed to SureFire’s twist switch. It also has momentary on when depressed partially. Twisting the head tighter turns it to high mode and is a little stiff but I’ll put some silicone on it.
Shining the beam on the wall I notice it has a much tighter hotspot than the 9P AND the flood still surpasses the 9P. With the red filter on, there is still plenty of light output in the hotspot but the flood about disappears on the wall. Bright enough to make you see red spots after shining it at closed eyelids.
Comes with a holster, lanyard, spare o-rings and an orange clicky switch if you’d like to change it out. It’ll fit in a 1″ ring.

That depends man. There are a lot of good lights out there. When I get the TK11 R2 in I’ll try to do a mini review with some beamshots or somethin’. It should not disappoint if you’re eager to order.
So what is the best small but powerful flashlight for the Airforce airguns? When I say small, I mean looks good on the airgun and isn’t too heavy. What’s the best light for the money? It sounds like the Fenix brand is the way to go. I don’t know a thing about these lights but I’ll start by looking at Fenix.

You really need to get a charger and recharge the lithium battery’s, cause the price of them is out of this world.
I bought a few off ebay a few years ago. Chinese manufacture but they use the same Luxeon LEDs, 2 watt, 2 AA batteries. They were about $35 each at the time, and have a middle tube assembly that is optional, you can use them as a single AA or double AA. In single AA mode they put out about 100 lumens and are about the size and shape of a tube of lipstick and is so tiny it will fit on your keychain. Awesome. I only buy ones that use AA batteries as I go through a lot of them and the lithiums, although having a longer shelf life, are just too expensive.

I have a Olight with the R-2 led. Very good! I like the color much more that the Q-5.
