Q:

Got a new flashlight on the way…

Fenix TK11 R2 Edition.

It should out throw my old 9P by 50 yards or so, though I don’t expect it to actually be usable at 200 meters as advertised. This light will give about 2.5 hours of runtime even on turbo mode. There is also a normal mode at 64 lumens with a runtime of 12 hours on 18650s. I picked up a Fenix red filter for $6 and a Fenix pressure switch is available for $20.

I will report back with what I think of it comparable to the ol’ 9P as a gun mounted light. Looks like a winner so far at the price point and features.

I have a Fenix P3D

It is great! 😉

Very popular light with great runtime. The L0D CE Q4 on a AAA and high will do the same or similar output as the P3D on high (not turbo) mode, but with only an hour of run time. I carry one on my keychain. Fenix lights are most impressive to non flashaholics and flashaholics alike.

That sounds good. Throw is a selling factor.

I’m not really a newb to performance lights myself. I only use rechargeable li-ons. Thanks for the tip. 😉

If it is anything like the TK10 (mine) you’ll love it.

Essentially the same light with the added ability to use 18650s for longer run time. With the TK12 Fenix should work on a regulated 18650 only light. 😉

How far is the usable throw with the TK10?

I use it mine (so Pissed at myself for losing it.) mostly for work, but will say that the 200 yard claim is fairly accurate.

I also had the Fenix P3D It has some pretty cool features.

My advise to you (if you are not going to) is to buy rechargeable batteries.

I also have an L0D CE Q4 and it’s a MONSTER light for it’s tiny size. Fenix seems to be way ahead of the game in technology.

Thanks for the info, I didn;t know they had a pressure switch. A bit pricy, but at least it is available:)
I like the Fenix lights, I have a lot of them…
