GOT BUSTED BY L.A.P.D TODAY..
Normal day..I headed down to the national park where I usually shoot my condor at, a place where no signs of no fire arms are posted. I started doing fine..poping soda cans from any distance. Soon I heard choppers around me and cop cars…I didn’t mind, u are in L.A. Things like that are common…suddenly I heard: “It’s L.A.P.D, drop your gun and stay at where you are!!!” from some loud speakers..They didn’t see me, next thing I know was two fully armored cops pointing their Beretta 92FS at me..I put my hands up and walked towards them..I was being stuffed and cuffed in the squad car. The cops started heading down to the station and met up with like 8 other squad cars at the a road block with cops armed with scoped m4s, m16s and 12 gauges…u name it…I felt really disturbed the peace.. 🙁 later on I was questioned and one cop mentioned him and his LT were also trying to get the same rifle…I was soon released however with a misdemeanor ticket and my condor staying in their hands for now…whatever…I’m just happy i actually didn’t get booked..Guys, hope you would be careful after hearing my story…really miss the days in Michigan now..days where you can just fire at will… no matter whatever gun u r using…hopefully they can gimme my gun back tomorrow 🙁

Oh, I understand the officers going out in force, but I don’t think it is practical nor financially responsible…
If the guy was downtown, sure, send out the force, but there has to be some type of reasonable response that doesn’t consist of helicopters and the swat team for a person with a gun in the woods…
Even more so if he doesn’t get charged and gets his rifle back…
Every summer night in Oakland someone get’s killed by an illegal handgun but I have yet to see ONE time when the swat team get’s called out. Most of the times NO cars arrived after a shooting if nobody gets hurt.
Would ya like to bet this LA incident happened by or near a nice part of town and not a shitty part of town…

I am handicapped even though I don’t look like it when I walk. I get chewed out from time to time by some fuckwad asshat who thinks it’s their business to patrol the use of handicapped parking spaces.
Sure some people park there without the placard and they are assholes. But don’t assume everyone is that asshole or we will be living under a military police force eventually and not for our own personal protection either. 😉
Not everyone with a gun is a killer and terrorist. What kind of emotionally and mentally unstable person thinks that is the case and that certainly isn’t the type of person I want making laws or running the police force… 😯

I used to install 911 systems. It’s a great thing. Just scary when the line between military and police is getting real thin like this!
Our TAC guys have the best of the best, 2 Euro Copters, a rather large armoured Ford vehicle, MP5s, M4’s, 700 BDLs, .40 Glocks, and who knows what else. 🙄
I know a few Officers and it is getting crazy out there!! The criminals have all kinds of guns, armoured SUV’s, and body armour, so I really understand why they are this way. 🙁
Even the English Bobbies now are armed some with MP5s as well. The world got very nasty in the last few years and not just because of 911. 😯
So I only shoot my Condor and Drozd on remote private land, and my CAR-15 and 9mm at the range. Only will shoot my 12g pump and rimmies in the woods well into the mountains. 😎
In 35 years of shooting I only had 1 problem and that is when a Officer saw my shooting gophers and gave me the 5th degree. 🙁
Personally I expect our Police to check things out and keep me and the family safe. I know a call to 911 will have one of the Copters here in minutes and those beasts with FLIR and armed Officers scares the shit out of the bad guns as they can fly faster then you can drive and with FLIR you cannot hide! 😆

Just this week, I was driving home from work and a young kid, maybe 14-16, was walking up the road with a rifle over his shoulder and a whistle pig in hand. I gave him the thumbs up and he nodded as I drove past. Just not a big deal around here to see someone with a gun walking down the road.
I love my small town life and wouldnt trade it for anything. Hick, redneck, hillbilly… call me what you will, but when the SHTF, folks will look to retreat to places like here to come for protection…..
That’s awesome! I have never had any real trouble, despite carrying the Talon around some farmer’s fields in plain sight of the road. But I had one spandex-wearing seattle bicycle freak call the cops, but I went over and talked to him (after setting the rifle down, lol) and he called back and told them it was a false alarm. But the cops showed up anyway, but I had it set down and they actually thought the gun was pretty amazing for a “BB Gun”.

For me this is a environmental call…if its rural, I really don’t think you need the Special Operations Group tactical van and Chopper escort over some dipus with a cell phone calling in a man with a rifle in the woods, the desert, whatever.
