GTBJ Needs A Little Help
If any of you are Christian, drop in a good word for Scott McRae’s (GTBJ) mom.
She’s in intensive care, but doing better. Went in for some general repair surgery, and a few things went sour. They nicked her spleen, and they had to take her back in fast to remove it, and clean up the area. The spleen is a reservoir for blood, and other assorted functions. If it’s cut, you can bleed out very quickly, so this was a life threatening situation. Eric was a bit shaken. But he said the doctors were optimistic she should make a full recovery…which was not the situation last night.
He’s a good guy.
I’m putting in a good word for her tonight when I sign off for the day, and I hope you fellows will too.

just a quick update
Mom is home and on here way to a full recovery! she is still weak but getting stronger everyday, so thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for her as they worked

I have always felt that a group of people talking about and pulling for someone is good therapy so we got it covered 🙂 I don’t like it when people are sick 🙁 it can happen to anyone and happen fast hope she feels better soon GTBJ.

Thank you everyone! I certainly did not expect to see this thread this morning, and once again Thank All Of You for the thought and prayers!!!!
a quick up date as to what is going on, she is still in ICU as far as I know, I didn’t receive any updates yesterday but I’m counting no news as good news.
friday was a ruff day, she was starting to collect too much fluids(from all the iv’s they were pumping in her) which was causing some complications and even collecting in her lungs, so the were worried about pneumonia and a few other things, they got a central line in and started to pump her full of protein and other food substitutes as well as a bit more blood that fixed the water logged problems, sat was a better day, just the standard iv’s and another pint of blood, pops even got her to sit in a chair for a bit and the got rid of the morphine drips and buttons, so she is at leas coherent now.
I haven’t been able to see her for a bit, I ended up getting the flu on friday night about 2 hours before I had to be at work at the bar, and it a fun one let me tell you, fever, peein out the booty, and not being able to keep even apple juice down, I broke the fever sat night and was able to keep some soup down as well, yesterday was still a ruff day of the pee/poo’s and I did hurl once and wanted to a few other times but didn’t need to. so far this morning I not feeling to bad, I’m sipping on a cup of coffee and I acutely just farted with out spraying anything across the room, so I’m optimistic that I’m out of the woods, I think I will still wate at least a day before going to see her.
I will give pops a call in a bit to get an update and I will tell him to let her know that you all are thinking and praying for her!
