Gun case?
What are some gun cases folks are using for their cricket? I’ve seen on the forum that Plano is being used by a number of members. I was looking for one that would accommodate a scope.

I fixed my fill probe and I accidently filled my 22 cricket to 2700 Bar I have not been counting the shots but I think I have gotten over six clips of shots and still going…
Mike you must have changed air tubes to get 2700 Bar into it, that’s 39,160 PSI !!! What did you use a 55 gallon drum? :rofl:

Zonk got my case cut out and looking pretty good will have to post some pictures up of it soon, Mine has yellow handles on it?

I do and will Miss my Marauder , That is until I pull the 25 Cricket out and explode 45 to 50 sparrows with one fill. :smilen: Did I say 50 shots with one fill with a .25 Oh dream on, When its in my hands then the bragging begins, I will almost feel guilty doing it on the Marauder site, May sell mine first before I do it. :rofl:
Now my Marauder will shoot right with my Cricket 22 at 48 yards, They are both dead on. The cricket is just a little faster and I get at least 30 more shots with each fill with the 22 Cricket..

I started with a .25 BP, then got the .22 rifle, then the .22 compact, then the .25 rifle and now am waiting on my .177 compact. I’ve got a few guns I’ve purchased that I haven’t even shot yet because I just keep grabbing my Crickets. One of these days I’ll collect a paycheck from Steve instead of getting “just one more gun” 😉 😉
You’ll never be satisfied. I have a 25 Cricket but lust after a skeleton 22 compact.
SAWEEET!!! That’ll be one hell of a pair to own. I think about a .25 Cricket but I’m just too damn happy with my .22. :biggrinn:

I bought the 36″ and used an electric carving knife to cut out the foam even though it’s pluck foam. Also used a whole can of plastidip, but think it could still use some more!
I can’t figure out how to post my pictures damnit!

Mike I also bought the same case and it’s great.
then I tore out the pluck foam…
the finished product….
I then used a whole can of Plasti dip spray and hot glued along the cut out between the foam pieces. You can see in the second picture where I hot glued it.

OK I drove all over the place looking for a 36 INCH CASE Midland Wal-Mart, Gun stores, Odessa gun stores Wal-Mart Academy , I gave up and ordered one on line.

I’m using a Plano 108364 for my Edgun R3 Long. The Cricket should fit also.

I have a bunch of furniture padding thats 3-4″ thick. You can get it cheap at DIY stores.
I bet it would work perfect to cut out the foam padding and spray with the plastidip and make my own custom rifle case with. Make the box out of thin pine or another light weight wood and spray the box with urethane. I have all the supplies on hand..
If I find the motivation, this could get interesting.
I just bought the 36″ Plano on amazon for my cricket, so I’ll need a can of plastidip anyway.
My prod could now use a homemade case though…hmm
To reconfigure the case for another rifle, you would have to cut the foam. The Plasti Dip coats the surface. It does not penetrate very deep into the foam. But it does reinforce the cut edges, eliminating tearing and crumbling.

Or at least looked pretty funny, Plus at 2700 bar you would never have to refill again,
I do not take a long time looking down the barrel of my Cricket, I just glance at the pressure gage kind of side ways , :suprisedn:
I like the PSI system a lot better than I like the Bar system, Unless I am drinking, Then Bars are OK… : :rofl:
