Q:

Gun case?

What are some gun cases folks are using for their cricket? I’ve seen on the forum that Plano is being used by a number of members. I was looking for one that would accommodate a scope.

I bought the 42″ Plano case from WWAG. A great case for my Cricket. I found this video that describes the use of Plasti Dip for reinforcing the pluck foam. I picked up a can at Home Depot for about $7.00 and sprayed the entire cut out foam portion. It really makes a difference. The foam no longer tears or pulls free. For what it is worth.

Lucky bastard

I found one at my local Walmart, $69.97. 😀 It was along the wall and not in the gun section.

Dave

Thanks Hunt, I’ll be getting a can today.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I didn’t know they made such a product.

Only thing holding me back from buying the 42″ plano is its style of pluck foam. The foam is already precut in a grid pattern. Id rather have a solid foam interior that I myself cut. Seems it would just hold more solid/steady ya know?
Has anyone seen a plastic hard case at 42″ with SOLID foam for under 100$? I couldve sworn I came across a plano one with red handle instead of the yellow handled, that had a solid foam insert.

ill probably just break down and buy the 42″ plano off amazon
I would get the 36″ which would fit my 33″ .25 cricket absolutely PERFECT, because the interior usable foam space is 33.5″ in that case. But I’m also buying a vanguard equlaizer 3QS bipod which at its smallest is 14″. So for the sake of room, I need the 42″ case with around 37″ usable foam space, just to be certain I can also fit in the long bipod with my scoped cricket and also have a little room for at least one tin of pellets and maybe a couple mag slots/etc.

Wow, that’s really discreet! Your neighbors must think you really love tennis. I don’t know about long term storage though. A case would be a bit more secure.

Btw, where did your friend buy the foam? Looks much more durable than pluck foam.

Thanks for the links. I went to two walmarts and they didn’t have the case in stock.
