Q:

Hearing some pretty negative things about condor in blogs

I just ordered a condor with pump but the more I read about the condor in the pyramid air blog the more worried I am. I read the safety is bad as are tolerances, tanks, fps, trigger, and the list went on an on. I am aware that there are mods to fix or change all of these issues but if that’s really the case why not just get a more expensive gun to start off with? (just asking in case someone gets cute) I did see that a condor won a 100m competition but it really didn’t sound like it was a condor anymore with the mods. I have competed in many state pistol, rifle, competitions and in a national with best finish a 4th at a state with 1000 shooters from civilian and military (I was military) so I know my way around target shooting and want a powerful accurate rifle so am I in trouble on this one or not and I am hoping I didn’t make a mistake.

Tony (Anthony) does excellent work, the wait is well worth it! My condor is shooting very consistently with Eun Jin domes, pointed and Kodiaks. Try Jerry’s surefire slugs if you want kick ass in .25 cal! 107 fpe is a breeze when Tony gets done doing his thing.
Very nice to do business with, keeps you informed unlike some people!
I’ll shut up now!

Take the trigger assembly out and grind the lips off the sear and polish all the contact-surfaces, mine’s been sweet as a nut since I did that.

Lang IS nuts, dont listen to him. 8)

Seriously though, dont mess with the trigger unless you feel it needs work. Not all triggers are bad from Airforce.

Second, dont do any grinding on your parts unless you are willing to run the risk of ruining your parts. Also be sure you know exactly what you are doing before you start.

Third, if you are sending it to Tony, you wont have to even look at the trigger once hes done with it.

Question to Lang. What lips do you suggest grinding OFF? I do not really understand why you would do this.

Thanks crowpopper I’ll use that as my guide and I was told at least 6-8 weeks.

I appreciate the information it’s going off UPS tomorrow to florida.

Where you provided an estimate of how long the work will take?

hammer slap mod is based on opinion
you WILL lose fps
but it does quiet it down a tad
id say deal with the slap and keep the fps
its only loud in your ear
i had my buddy shoot mine across the room it was so minimal it didnt bother me a bit
get a wok butt ar15 grip adapter and a trigger frame and add the lil metal disc for wok butt

I appreciate the information it’s going off UPS tomorrow to florida.

As Lang listed, thats all you NEED.

You got the Dollar, go the Tony route. He may be expensive, but I have never heard a bad report about him, all his customers seem to be VERY happy with what they get for what they spent…..

I only need the functional items to make it the best it can be and I want a few “looks” type items. If you don’t ask questions before doing something you get burned everytime I’ve found out so before I drop 2 or 3k I am trying to cover my bases. I have several DPMS rifles that have all the goodies on them as do my 1911 pistols and rugers so I always want extra things and need just a few.

2. Tune Bollocks
3. Custom trigger shoe Bollocks
4. Custom hammer Bollocks
5. O-ring mod Bollocks
6. Custom valve spring retainer Bollocks
7. Valve mod (if available for condor) Just get a Blodnob valve from Selph.

9. One piece breech nob. Get one of my breeches
10. Fluted breech Bollocks
11. Hammer slap mod Absolute bollocks

What do you really need?

A decent .25 barrel
A hi-power valve
A hammer and spring appropriate to the valve
A breech with a secure knob
A Wokbutt

That’s it really. Tart it up with extras as desired (AR15 grip and whatnot).

WE ARE SICK AND DO NOT WANT HELP WE LIKE IT THAT WAY!

Condor is a hard hitting extremely accurate rifle out of the box. It’s just loads of fun to customize it. You’ll love it. If they weren’t any good then why would I buy three of them !

Later

Hey tach..have you ever had one of those condors come crashing down? I think I would prefer something a wee bit more softer hanging right above my bed.. especially when the headboard starts rocking..
