Hearing some pretty negative things about condor in blogs
I just ordered a condor with pump but the more I read about the condor in the pyramid air blog the more worried I am. I read the safety is bad as are tolerances, tanks, fps, trigger, and the list went on an on. I am aware that there are mods to fix or change all of these issues but if that’s really the case why not just get a more expensive gun to start off with? (just asking in case someone gets cute) I did see that a condor won a 100m competition but it really didn’t sound like it was a condor anymore with the mods. I have competed in many state pistol, rifle, competitions and in a national with best finish a 4th at a state with 1000 shooters from civilian and military (I was military) so I know my way around target shooting and want a powerful accurate rifle so am I in trouble on this one or not and I am hoping I didn’t make a mistake.

I have the 2k to get the daystate or mod my condor so I am hearing that the condor is as accurate as a daystate in it’s modified form? or in stock form. I want something that will hit quarter sized groups at 80 yards and the condor is capable? I planned on sending it to tony from talontunes to get it tuned.

I haft to say my condor is my GOTo rifle. NO problems ever with CO2.
There is a learning curve with the HPA, use 2800 psi instead of 3200 psi?
A 3200 fill will get about 10 good shots with light pellets then go crazy.
At about 3000 rounds the stock Hi Flo valve wore out, Airforce Warrantied!
Never had a problem with the Safety. I think most of safety problems come from tinker in first and blaming Airforce Second?
Sure the Airforce condor’s safety is a stiff one, Stop Crying about it, and get a real airgun smith to lighten it up.
Buy a new Airforce airgun and Enjoy. It absolutely doesn’t need any mods.

Condor is a hard hitting extremely accurate rifle out of the box. It’s just loads of fun to customize it. You’ll love it. If they weren’t any good then why would I buy three of them !

Get the rifle. Put a good scope on it. Fill to 2800 psi and buy some kodiaks pellets.

The quality control has improve on them in the last couple of years and you are going to be surprised at how far and accurate it will be for you.
Stop worrying and get excited. Put you money away and just shoot it when it comes. We will be here if you need advice.

I have one that is as is and it has been working for two years now and no issues, I shoot it alot mostly paper, the workmanship should be looked at carefully upon arrival and any issues should be fixed while under warranty. I think these guns are so cool I got another one, welcome to the madd house or the dark-side as we call it, and remember we are always here to help if you need it.

I was also pondering the mod route to this rifle and I have to ask if I spend $600 on the condor and then put $1,200 in mods to make the rifle top notch I have $1,800 into it and still only have a one shot rifle with no regulator and safety removed and can anyone tell me if it can hold 3k psi and still shoot I hope these questions are taken as inquiring and not bashing because I am prepared to spend 2k or better but just want the best rifle for that amount of money.

Take the trigger assembly out and grind the lips off the sear and polish all the contact-surfaces, mine’s been sweet as a nut since I did that.
