Q:

How the mighty have fallen

First it wasn’t that far back that everybody was raging about the Hawke scopes and how well they compared to higher end scopes and now it seems every couple days you see a new post with someone complaining about the quality. I personally bought 2 Hawkes about 6 months ago and wasn’t thrilled with them so traded/sold them off. Now don’t get me wrong theres some older ones that function and perform just fine but the stuff being sold lately is sub par and it makes you wonder how much longer they’ll be offering their lifetime warranty. It seems that as people buy them or buy them second hand and send them in for issues the previous owners just dealt with Hawke will lose their ass in replacements. Notice Ted has started to feature another brand of scope with no comment as to why he’s been making the switch. :confusedn:
Second I noticed the amount of complaints about leak issues with the new batches of FX Bobcats right after receiving them and the the common response to these ads is “send it back to AOA they’ll fix it” well why the hell would anybody want to ship back to the same shop who supposedly inspected and shot every Bobcat and signed off on it as being 100%. Is there a reason these can’t be fixed by the user (oring) or it a QC issue that FX/AOA doesn’t want broadcasted? :confusedn:
I know, I know none of you guys give a shit about FX and to be honest neither do I but for how much longer are Bobcat users going to accept this and remain satisfied with FX/AOA QC? :angrymob: Okay y’all are free to rip my thoughts to shreds have at it.

I sold off all my Hawke 6.5-20 scopes. They were to milky at long distances for me, as well as heavy. I believe, Ted used the Hawke partly because they matched well with his camera. But even he’s prone to what all of us suffer from here, the need to try new stuff.

I have one problem with my hawke scope but it’s nothing serious…
My red and green reticles don’t light up anymore…I emailed hawke and they told me to send it in…but the hassle to send it in all for something I don’t really use wasn’t worth loosing my scope for an extended amount of time.
