Q:

I been challenged to a shoot out

Each April my two brothers meet down at the deer camp , Shoot, ride motorcycles and stuff just for the weekend, Its right dab in the Three sisters area in Texas, Example, we shot skeet once and Charles, (the one that’s challenged me, the old one) could hit nothing on the first shot, We called him dead eye, He goes back to Austin, joins a skeet club , We meet up the next year and he blows us away with his skeet shooting. LOL.
Anyway to the point , Brother said he could out shoot any of my air guns with his complete stock Ruger 10-22 just OTC shells…
I ask how far you want to shoot , He said 75 – 100 yards, Deals on ,
I have shot the 22 Cricket at 100 yards but never the 25 at 100 yards, My range at my house is at 48 yards, Looks like I make have to head to the pit and do some practicing.
Anyone else took a challenge like this against a rimfire rifle,
At 50 yards it would not be much of a challenge , I know that for sure,
I think his only knowledge of air guns is his Gamo something or another and my other brothers Ruger springer that I out shot both with my old FWB 124 a few years back…
Yea and I got the fastest bike to,

Mike, you have let your thread get totally out of hand! …talk about taking some turns! …and I’m a fan of the .40 too… My open carry is a .45ACP, but I’m looking at that Rami .40 as a new CC. Going to my dealer this afternoon to try it on for fit and function. I’m not a fan of striker-fire pistolas and don’t like single action (like 1911’s) either. I want to “whip it out and pull the trigger” without having to remember to cock it or take the safety off… DA semi’s and revolvers are my only 2 considerations, and for CC, most revolvers are two thick for easy CC. Currently carry a PPK/s over my kidney, but if this Rami is what I think it is, I may switch to it.

…Hopefully we can at least get back to talkin’ ’bout guns and not bikies and skooterz… Geesh! 🙂

They definitely dump the gay pirate outfits from the Harley’s when they ride the scooters and go Hi-viz instead. 😆 The scooter/motorcycle line is blurring a bit as they add DCT and automatic transmissions on the motorcycles – even the 750s. The mass numbers of commuters (elsewhere) just don’t want to mess with shifting any longer. The US market is so small that we get “stuck” somewhat what is demanded in Europe and other larger markets – especially for scooters. Last year in the US scooters sales were flat or even fell a bit and DCT/Automatic motorcycles sales climbed quite a bit (and so did automatic 3-wheelers).

Yea I wouldn’t want to be seen on a Harley either…

The military is even considering upgrading from 9 mm and is negotiating with Beretta (they rejected the M9A3 for now). The trouble with .40 is many manufacturers tried to use the existing 9 mm designed frames for the more powerful cartridge and it caused issues including cracking. They are being forced to redesign the guns from the ground up. There is a bit of a snap with the .40 in a small pistol. 🙂

If you want stopping power and a semi auto, get a 10mm. More fpe and fps then a 357 magnum.

No hijack,,, I love CCL guns, The 40 cal is about right need to stop them not wing them,, LOL.
So many small CHL guns out now I got to get around the guys in the know and see which one is best for me, I will admit I never shot a 40 cal.
I will admit I am not a fan of the 9mm , I do have little 380 that I love that was my fathers its about 50 years old. My son in-law is a big 40 cal fan for CHL and he does have me leaning that way,,, All semi autos , No revolvers,,,,
I bought him a salt gun and he used it in his BBQs, I kid you not, Real Texas hick, Shoot the steak with salt…. LOL

 Whats funny is many of the scoot guys have Harleys covered in dust in the garage.

Awwww Coda what a cute little shooter, I bet that fits so well in your handbag while you are riding your scooter…

I have a lot of pistols but that Rami is the smallest I can shoot really well (even at 25 yards). The DA Ruger LCP and LC-9 I have are really 7 – 10 yard guns. I got rid of my light SW 642 and stubby revolvers. They are really tough to shoot well but are good < 7 yard guns.

Excellent! Thanks Coda…. now back to the original thread subject….
Mike, when y’all gonna go do this?

The only good way to see the size is to get it out and hold it. 🙄 🙂 We have successfully hijacked the thread. 😛 The std mag is 10 9+1 and it comes with a 14.

That picture is from the guy who makes the grips in Norway’s web site but gun looks the same w/ cocobolo grips. I was too lazy to take a picture (and it is always at the ready). Mine is 9 mm. I have a Sig P229 in .40 and .357 Sig (switchable barrels) but IMO the 2075 frame isn’t enough for .40 cal. Action is DA/SA with the hammer. I like the very light trigger on SA.

I have a picture of my Sig in PB :biggrinn: I put those grips on it.

Nice gun too! I also have a 229 in .40. It’s the fancy Equinox version… Shoots well and I have the .22LR conversion kit, but it’s mostly a safe queen… to big for CC, but that little CZ is something I’d consider. In my work clothes ( business casual), I daily carry a PPK/s in IWB. Would that CZ compare to that?

Yes i have. They are well known. I like CZ. Ny favorite conceal carry is a Rami 2075 CZ 9mm. i even had a guy in Norway (Hakan) make custom cocobolo grips for it. The guns are small but very easy to shoot accurately.

Coda, that’s a nice looking pistola! Is it a SA action or DA/SA? Also, the slide says it’s a .40 cal. do you have 2? or is it able to have the top slide/barrel assy changed out with the same frame? I’m liking the looks of that gun!

Nice looking pistol Coda…
